A V O I D! Obviously, this place takes great exception to reviews that are not 5*. We’ve visited a few times so know the price of food but the prices have become way too high for quite basic fare. THESE PEOPLE CONTACTED ME MORE THAN A YEAR AFTER I REVIEWED THEM. ITS JUST WEIRD! You don’t like 1* reviews?!!! BUT - YOU HAVE SO MANY! LOL THIS IS A CUSTOMERS RIGHT AND IF YOU FIND REALISTIC REVIEWS HEARTBREAKING THEN I SUGGEST YOU CEASE PUBLIC TRADING.

Too expensive and despite the owners response 👇🏻re:plant milk costing 50p extra, there really is no excuse as Veganism isn’t a trend, it’s a way of life. Our grandson mistook the STM for the Hadlow Road station and he and his friend were disappointed because it was so expensive and they’re students. IF YOU LOOK AT MY REVIEWS, YOU WILL SEE LOTS OF 5 STAR BUT YOUR CAFF DOES NOT DESERVE IT. SMALL BUSINESSES ARE NOT CHARITIES AND WE WORK TO SPEND OUR MONEY WHERE WE CHOOSE & THE PUBLC HAVE A RIGHT TO LEAVE AN HONEST REVIEW. DO YOU THINK SMALL BUSINESSES ARE EXEMPT ? YOU HAD A DARN CHEEK MOANING ABOUT MY PREVIOUS REVIEW. YOU HAVE PLENTY OF 1* REVIEWS. MAY I SUGGEST THAT AS YOU ENTER A NEW YEAR YOU TRY TO BE MORE GRACIOUS AND ACCEPTING OF CUSTOMERS? THEY DO NOT HAVE TO LOVE YOUR CAFF BUT… IT COULD BE WORSE! EVEN IF THEY DO NOT LIKE IT, THEY DIDN’T GET A REFUND DID THEY?! WOW… YOU SEEM TO HAVE MADE A HABIT OF CHASING EVERYONE WHO LEFT YOU A LESS THAN GLOWING REVIEW LOL. ENTER 2025 WITH THE REALISATION THAT BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. LEARN TO RESPOND APPROPRIATELY TO ALL REVIEWS NOT JUST THE ONES YOU LOVE. IT WILL MAKE YOUR PAGE LOOK MORE...

The Station Master’s House in Wirral is an absolute gem, radiating charm and warmth from the moment you step inside. Nestled in a beautifully restored historic building, this delightful café offers a perfect blend of cozy ambiance and exceptional cuisine. The staff are incredibly welcoming, greeting every guest with genuine smiles and attentive service, making you feel right at home. The star of the show is undoubtedly the poached eggs on sourdough toast—a dish that elevates breakfast to an art form. The eggs are perfectly cooked, with golden, runny yolks that burst with flavor, perched atop thick, crusty sourdough that’s toasted to perfection. Each bite offers a delightful balance of textures, from the creamy yolk to the satisfying crunch of the bread. Paired with fresh, high-quality ingredients, it’s a simple yet unforgettable dish that showcases the café’s commitment to excellence. The atmosphere is equally inviting, with tasteful décor and a relaxed vibe, ideal for a leisurely brunch or catching up with friends. The Station Master’s House is a must-visit for anyone craving a heartwarming dining experience. Their poached eggs on sourdough alone are worth the trip—pure breakfast bliss! Highly recommended for a...

We visited today after a walk and ordered some drinks and cakes. Our dog, as dogs do, jumped up at the hatch a couple of times and we proceeded to pull her back down to the floor.

A lady in the kitchen area came up to the hatch and was in our opinion rude, stating in a tone something along the lines of "can you keep her down". I said that we had pulled her down and she continued, again in a tone whilst scowling to say they served food out of there. She then went back over to another staff member muttering.

The irony was that the serving hatch was dirty anyway (not from our dog) and we made effort to pull our dog down before her unhelpful input.

I appreciate they serve food and should we have allowed our dog to stay at height I would have understood her actions. If she felt the need to comment regardless, it's not what is said but the way it is approached.

I would not expect such treatment and poor customer service anywhere, particularly when it supposed to be dog friendly venue and dogs will do such things (and be told off by responsib(e owners, without the need for what we perceived...

In general this place is lovely. Really tasty food, especially the chai coffees. Food is usually reasonably priced, tables outside, in the under cover courtyard and inside. I love coming here when I do my long walks, its a great place to stop off. The downsides: - The child's portion. It was £7 and it was less than a handful of chips, a single sausage and a thimble of beans. The quality was poor too. This is pretty disappointing, especially considering the quality of the rest of the food. - The tip screen when ordering food. Its optional, I get it. But when you have 2-3 staff members watching what youre going to select its pretty invasive. A tip should be after for good service/food, not before the order is even taken. I have no problem tipping, but it shouldn't be pressured on customers.

An excellent find on the Wirral Circular Trail/Sustrans National Cycle Route 56. It’s currently (Oct2021) situated on the platform, but hopes to move indoors in the winter months. We stopped by for coffee and cakes after a long walk and were delighted with everything about the experience and the prices including sitting in the sunshine on the platform. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the drinks and cakes to a good standard. Alongside the opportunity to explore the adjacent and quaint railway station museum it was a wonderful experience.
