3.5 would be more accurate. Have eaten here twice. 1st visit with friends late summer was very good, a bit pricy but very helpful staff that smiled and couldn't have been nicer, good food and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, 2nd visit didn't quite match up. A last minute trip to the coast with tea on the return saw us deciding to revisit as they're dog and child friendly and both kids were keen to return. Having visited the website I noted the £20 discount for downloading their app, so did so, however, this is apparently not then available until 24 hours later (details hidden away in the fine print once you know what you're looking for). So, just be aware of this as we would have chosen cheaper still if we'd known before ordering. Apparently we can use the voucher at our next visit, erm, probably not going to happen. Unfortunately, the waitress we had, whilst polite, was otherwise just functional, not friendly; helpful, but only just, and a smile was certainly too much to ask. The food was OK but even taking into consideration the nice atmosphere, it was not worth the money. Think marginally better than Weatherspoons but with fries. The gentleman behind the bar was very helpful, cheerful and polite and there were some really nice touches, treat biscuits and water bowls for dogs, blankets by the door for if you were popping outside, and the W/Cs were clean and tidy. So, it's nearly very nice, but there's room for...

The facade is very weather worn but the interior is a bit better? The female staff are nice and friendly but the man (I don't know his name but I think he was the manager /owner) was extremely unhelpful! I ordered our meals and asked for a pizza that wasn't on the menu (plain cheese and tomato) which he could not find on the till so he became very irrate, then when I told him I wanted my steak seared on both sides and pink in the middle he replied, and how am I supposed to put that on the till? When our meals arrived my(lamb rump) steak had been cut into small pieces and was over cooked, so I returned it. After a few minutes the man came to our table and, looking down his nose at me, asked what was wrong with the steak? So I told him! Well how do you want it cooked then, he snapped I replied, left whole in one piece and how I asked for it at the bar. My partner and daughter had finished their meals by the time my food arrived, as it was placed in front of me I saw the steak had been CUT UP INTO LITTLE PIECES AGAIN ? I couldn't eat it so I went to the bar, as I approached the bar he saw me coming and quickly disappeared and so did the bar staff, I had to wait for someone else to come to the bar before I could pay the bill ( £74) and we left. I have complained to the company. He is not a very nice person and he reminded me of...

I have been here many many times over the last 20 years and never had an issue. Staff. Food. Anything. However a few days ago a party of 8 (6 adults and 2 babies) decided to visit unfortunately. Immediately upon entering we were position at a long table with spotlights looking into the road and we had with no over exaggeration 10 flies hovering about. Before we even sat down we raised this as an issue but no alternative was suggested. It got worse and worse to the point we asked for the lights to be dimmed, bulbs removed or anything at all to be done.

When you are out for a meal and sat inside you fully don't expect to be fighting and swatting flies off your head, table, plate and glass. With the entire party left with 3/4 mouthfuls we got asked if we wanted to move. Baring in mind we raised issue before we sat down, had a drink, before a meal arrived this was too little too late. Whilst sat it was clear the building has an insect issue at the front as a congregation of around 1000 flies were on the brickwork. Simple things like this can be prevented and needs to be addressed The manageress was dismissive and despite the food being great and our server being decent (perhaps OTT) it couldn't salvage an absolute diabolical evening and money not well spent. If they fix the pest issue, go, if not stay...

Nice pub nice atmosphere nice food however portion control is rather keen. We did not want a full meal just a sandwich quality wise the sandwich was excellent which came along with a portion of chips the big let down was with the chicken slice which unfortunately did not cover the entire length of the small sliced bread we did ask for no avocado in the sandwich {we dont agree with the air miles involved with this product} however I am sure they could of stretched to at least one more piece of chicken rather than presenting a half filled sandwich where the avocado should of been especially as it was over eight pound for the privilege.. Staff were perfect!!! The setting on first sight was too,but when we got seated and looked closer the place is in need of a good clean. The table was tacky, cobwebs were on the lampshades/ ledges and two out of three ladies toilets weren't working and the third was dirty. My husband's Doombar shandy came with lots of floating debris in it, when replaced it was the same so I think the beer lines need cleaning too!!!!! The staff replaced our drinks and served us some lovely food which made up for the negatives in this establishment .Would come again if it addresses the problems I've highlighted.

The Three Cups is a delightful find and was the perfect choice for our stay in Stamford Bridge the night before a wedding. We took advantage of their two-course deal at £25, which offered excellent value - especially with the option to add a bottle of wine for just £20. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome and attentive service set the tone for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The highlight was the £5 supplement surf and turf: a beautifully cooked 10oz rib eye that was bursting with flavour. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area or simply passing through.
