The village tearoom — Restaurant in England

I took my friend here for her 71st birthday, she likes an All Day Breakfast! Good breakfast and good soup (even if you only get served half a cups worth). However, my friend ordered a taxi but to her home address, it took a while to sort out, but the taxi was on its way when we told that the shop was closing in three mins and would need to leave. I explained that it was my friends 71st birthday and asked if it was ok to sit and wait for the taxi. The owner said no, even though somone else there (friend/staff?) that said they might be able to assist. My friend has sciatica and arthritis, she doesn’t live far away but finds it difficult to stand. Disappointed doesn’t begin to explain the lack of compassion shown by the owner just to hang on for a few minutes so my friend didn’t have to stand outside in the cold and wait...

A perfect spot for a relaxed bite to eat in Northampton. I absolutely love coming here with my daughter for lunch. From the authentic, home cooked and freshly prepared comfort food to the delicious coffees… just perfect! And of course - cake!! No lunch is complete without a slice of cake and Number 50 cakes do not disappoint! All served with a friendly smile from the down to earth staff and lovely owner. Well deserved 5 stars...
