‘A Love Letter to Spain’. Sipping on a Sangria eating another croquette, you can be transported to holiday paradise. La Terraza in Upton, Northampton has been somewhere I have always wanted to try. The business is known and loved for their authentically prepared dishes made by a team of Spanish chefs, so I was thrilled to finally try their delights in their brand new takeaway service!!! A safe and friendly welcome from Kellie and her team step up the evening for a perfect night in.

The menu is absolutely incredible - so authentic and offers a great range - it took me a while to choose (could I have the whole menu??).

We selected a gorgeous range of dishes including melt in the mouth chorizo and the beloved classic patatas bravas. Dishes were vibrant and value for money, complimented with a big serving of aioli – a staple for all tapas !

My ultimate favourite had to be the cod croquettes. Never having had this dish I wasn't sure what to expect! But with a light crisp outer and a perfectly creamy and oozing centre – these are a number one recommendation. The Vegetable paella was delicate in flavour, with a great serving of veggies - mange tout, aubergine tomatoes. Just perfect to accompany the tapas!!

We also had indulge ourselves in their ‘Famous’ churros. Heavily coated in sugar, the churros were sweet and crisp, with a bitter dark chocolate sauce. Yes I finished the sauce wih spoon.. it was too good!!!

The takeaway service can take you on a Spanish holiday in the comfort of your home. I recommend La Terraza to anyone in need of a bit of sunshine...

First time visit. Situated next door to 2 take aways and the Co-op parking looked difficult but it wasn't. On entering we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated quickly downstairs. When we booked we had requested downstairs due to mobility issues. If you were using a wheelchair I would recommend calling in advance - it would be manageable but getting the right table would be important. We were a group of 4 - two vegetarians and one gluten free and the menu overwhelmed us with choice. GF bread was offered and was delicious. We absolutely over indulged and even though very full we managed not to leave anything. Particular mention must go to the garlic and chilli prawns, sweet potato fries and the potato dish we had - delicious. This wasn't a cheap meal out but the quality, service and ambience made it worthwhile though the background music was slightly dubious! Worth a journey to enjoy the food and during the week there are lots of specials that let you try the food more cheaply if you're not sure you will like tapas. On the gluten free front I had so much choice that it was a difficult decision. Do ask if something you want is not marked as gluten free but you think it could be as we found that things weren't marked but could be easily made GF by removing bread. That would be my only recommendation to the restaurant- look at your menu and add GFA - gluten free alternative available. A lovely meal out with...

I had the pleasure of visiting La Terraza Tapas Bar in Upton with my kids, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was incredibly cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a family outing. The friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere, making us feel right at home.

The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the tapas selection. The steak with chimichurri sauce was a burst of flavors that left us craving for more, and the Tempura prawns were simply delectable. It's clear that the chefs here take pride in their creations, as every dish we tried was a delightful journey for the taste buds.

As a first-time visitor, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience, and I can confidently say it won't be our last visit. While the prices leaned slightly towards the expensive side, the quality of the food and the cozy ambiance more than made up for it. La Terraza Tapas Bar strikes the perfect balance between a gourmet dining experience and a comfortable family outing.

I also appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant, which is always an important factor for me when choosing a place to dine.
