I've been to the White Horse three times now and it's been really nice each time. I've eaten in the restaurant part twice.
The staff have all been amazing. Considering it's a small village so staff won't be as used to disabled people like myself, they do a great job making sure I feel comfortable. Staff like to have a laugh with customers.
The restaurant part can get busy a lot of the time. It's best going during the week just before the restaurant part opens. The restaurant isn't open the whole time the pub is so its best to check.
I've had fish, chips and beans both times. The beans were perfect, they weren't runny nor thick. The chips have been perfect too. The fish has been very nice, but I do prefer my fish a bit more darker, but that's my personal taste. Prices are very good for the quality of the food and Considering its a local independent business in a small village. The food always tastes fresh and hot. The deserts are very nice too.
Please be aware that soda water costs here, whereas in most pubs, including village ones I've been in, it's free since its just fizzy water. It might be worth trying a different drink to get...
Read moreBeen visiting Flamborough for 15 year and myself, my wife and 3 children decided to visit the White Horse this evening 14th April 2023 for the first time. We usually visit either the Martonian, the Viking, or the North Star which are all really lovely, however this place blows them all out of the water. All home made, piping hot, super tasty, top quality food. Without sounding like a know it all I like to consider myself a good judge of food. I know it’s personal taste but I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who I know. You will not be disappointed.
If you love steak pie, then my advice is to try it! The best I’ve ever tasted!
Thank you to the chef and staff who were fantastic. Lovely clean premises with a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
We will definitely be back!
See you this Sunday for...
Read moreFood was appalling, wouldn’t even give them 1 star. The Sunday dinners were cold, tasteless and the size of a kids meal. One Sunday dinner was ordered without the veg and got two really thin slices of beef and a Yorkshire pudding. Nothing else. Cold food left Grease in your mouth which tasted horrible. Staff didn’t care what we thought and was rude. Would definitely not return and I’ll be sure to spread to work of how bad it was. Not the best when it was for a special birthday too. Spoilt the experience for us. Disappointed to say the least and the meals was very expensive for something that looked and tasted like a cheap school dinner. The people who have wrote reviews on here about how good value it is must be eating absolutely terrible...
