The food at The White House pub is consistently wonderful. Each dish is prepared with care, and the quality is evident in every bite. We must give a special shout-out to their wings—they are hands down the best in the Northeast. Perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, they are an absolute treat and a must-try for anyone visiting the pub.

Read moreHad an evening meal here on a Saturday night with friends and my partner. This place has been hit and miss in the past but because its close we met here. We all had a main meal and wanted a desert. I had the Mixed Grill and my partner had the Katzu Chicken Burger. We both have to say the chef did very well that night as the food was really good. No critique about this. What unfortunately let this place down is the fact that despite ordering food soon after arriving it took quite some time to come. Once finished we wanted desert and asked for menus. We were given them. But when wanting to order we were told the kitchen was closed ? It was only around 8:45pm! What kitchen in any pub or restaurant closes a kitchen so early when people have tables from 7:30pm?!! Never heard of such a thing! Certainly dont see this down south where I live. The pub also had no steak at all left and neither one other dish a friend wanted. Overall this place could be really great but closing the kitchen early and having no deserts really left a sour taste. White House... sort...
Read moreThis old house was originally part of my comprehensive school a building full of character with a big sweeping staircase. It was sold to Ember and when i was 18 i started visting for a drink rather than music and history lessons! Me, my family and friends loved going to the White House and feeling part of the local community and seeing the regulars there. Now i dislike it. It has been completely stripped of all original features, all alcoves and dividing walls have been removed, there's no cosy seating areas left just tables with numbers on to cater for families and children now. I rarely go anymore but when i do its strange going late on a Friday or Saturday night and seeing people sat with babies and toddlers. Ember Inns have ruined the building, and those who had grown to love the place no longer consider it their favourite local. If you go when its busy expect to wait for your drinks at the bar as they have minimal...
