Went to Ward Jackson Park on Easter Sunday for the Easter Trail in which it was free the fair was there which is the same for every bank holiday to milk it for the kids to scream and shout that they want to go on these inflatable things so I put the boys on these trampolines which was £5 each cafe busy only to be expected otherwise good half a day out

Beautiful park with plenty of walking area, benches for sitting, a small pond with swans and ducks, and nice kids play zone. Good thing is that there is seperate free car park on the other side of the road and public toilets. It even has a cafe in the center of the park. Good to go on a bright sunny day.

A beautiful park gifted to the town by the Victorians, maintained by dedicated grounds staff, presented with many donations and memorials but allowed to be destroyed by youth at night, facilitated by Hartlepool Council, who sadly do not have a good record entrusted in preserving the towns heritage. What is a real shame is several years ago the Council replaced the substantial Victorian perimeter 6 food railings with inferior 4 foot (cheap) railings. So when the gates use to be locked at night it didn't stop the youth from accessing and claiming it for the night, whilst the railings prevented policing by police, dog walkers, joggers and responsible people cutting through. No point in locking the gates when the fence is so...

When I went there were 5 disabled bays. 2 were free, the other 2 were taken up by people who had no disabled badge. The drivers seemed able bodied, but even if they had an invisible disibility, they should have displayed a badge. These bays are blatantly abused by people who can't be bothered to park on the road outside.

The cafe is dark and dingy and the last time I went, they don't have a great menu.

The play ground is nice for the kids, there is lots of space to play for kids, although we did get quite a huge whiff of weed when we walked past a group of teens, the fountain wasn't on when we were there and some of the place isn't maintained very well.

Still, compared to some places, not a...

A great Park with lots of lovely walkways and places to sit and relax. There is a lake, fountain, band-stand, formal garden, woodland area, children's playground, cafe, toilets and bowling green. There are a few disabled parking spaces within the park next to the cafe. And a free car park located on the opposite side of the road just up from the main gate. The car park is un-paved so can get a bit muddy at times. I wouldn't recommend using it in snow or ice, as two four-wheel drive vehicles got stuck, although my little car managed it OK. Dogs are allowed in the park on a lead, although many people ignore this and let their...
