Second time coming here. We came last year (2022) during the summer after a walk and had food of the light bites menu and thought we’d return one day. Initially booked for 31/12/22 but changed our booking for 2/1/23 taking a small sausage dog with us. We were 30mins late for our 1400 booking but the one guy apologise and gave away our table (we did ring prior but couldn’t get through). It was hella busy! But the guy sorted us out by the bar and eventually after about 30mins keeping us informed constantly got us a table at the main entrance. Which was less than ideal, but my fault for turning up late. Some people need manners in closing the door after them! Didn’t feel a draft but it was cold. However, food came out prompt despite being busy and was delicious! Only issue was, and this was only because it was busy, our desserts came out at least 30mins late, to which they apologise once upon asking and again when it arrived. At least two big tables had got their desserts messed up, but once again was due to how busy it was. Reasonable priced for 4 soft drinks & 3courses. Plus they gave us vouchers for the delayed desserts, which can only be used Monday to Thursday. Will definitely be returning again, but on time! Thanks guys, excellent service

Lovely pub in an exquisite location with a wonderful view of the river. The pub itself is deceiving ku big inside and there is loads of room to sit outside too. The food was pretty good (I had the calamari and halloumi fries, and my husband had the lamb shoulder) and the desserts were decent (I had the bread and butter pudding which was lovely, but it was overwhelmed by the quantity and sweetness of the apricot sauce, unfortunately). The only thing I can say anything g negative about was the service, which I already knew about from reading reviews here before I went - unfortunately, it was very slow…the kitchen was busy so the food and drinks came out slowly, which was fine, but the slowness I’m referring to was the lack of attention from the serving staff. We sat with empty plates for ages until we called someone over to ask to clear them and again to ask for dessert menus. Worth bearing in mind for a future visit, but it was otherwise lovely.

We stopped here for lunch after a local walk. It’s in a really picturesque spot by the river. In fact I don’t know if it’s the river that makes the pub pretty or the other way around! As with most B&P establishments, the menu is a bit more upmarket to most pubs and the quality that got delivered did not disappoint. Dog friendly with open fires and plenty of seating makes it a really relaxed atmosphere. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming. A basket of board games and even a basket of reading glasses makes this a place you feel you should snuggle down and enjoy for a while. No pub review should go without mentioning the loo - they were immaculate and I thought the locally produced hand soap and hand cream was a really nice touch. Today was a first visit but I will definitely be back again. I just have to find another walking route to try!

***Wow*** Been visiting the Woodbridge Inn for sometime now but never got round to giving them a review. Called in at lunchtime today, the building was warm and toasty for this cold autumn day. The atmosphere here is excellent, everyone is happy and having a good time. The staff are hip, fresh and current, they’re very friendly and helpful and made my stay a pleasure. The food is simply first class, I was going to take a photo of my meal but it looked so good that I couldn’t wait to eat it. The tastes are amazing and the food had been cooked to perfection. Onto the location…… You could not wish for a better location to admire the beauty of the surroundings, from the river Severn Bankside positioning to the historic bridge which gives access over the river and to the car park. It’s simply beautiful! Ten stars……..

Went on a bank holiday Saturday with the girlfriend for date night. We had booked a table for 6pm. It was moderately busy for that time and was seen to rather quickly! We ordered the starters and mains and had our starter within 10minutes. I had Pan Fried Wild Mushrooms which was delicious and wish I had more! My girlfriend wanted a side of Warm Bread with Balsamic Vinegar and Oil, and they were happy to accommodate that! After the starter it was about 15minutes for the mains to come out. The Honey Roasted Ham and Eggs was lovely, there was a good amount of ham (4slices) and eggs cooked perfectly. My Girlfriend had the Steak Burger and said the meat was well cooked and not to tough, the relish was good. All in all it was quick friendly service, brilliant food and a lovely atmosphere!

We’ve been to the Woodbridge many times as a family and before we had kids and always enjoy it. Here’s our review for the most recent visit. Food - delicious and large portions Drinks - both the rosé and Guinness were lovely Service - really polite and helpful, a lovely lady and could answer our couple of questions about the menu My only negatives are as follows: - It seems to get more and more expensive everytime and is nearly at the point of being too expensive. - There was a lady who came in talking to a what I assume was regular, discussing she’s been full of cold and felt terrible for days but couldn’t afford to not be in. We then saw her was serving tables which I thought was a bit gross and were glad we had the waitress we did
