Thomas The Baker — Restaurant in England

After a lovely morning out in Whitby, went by the bakery to get some rolls. Must have been about 2 ish. They didn't have any rolls then someone shouted thar there were 6 behind the counter. Long story short, when I came to pay, they were drenched by the assistant. This woman should not ever be working in front of customers. She was rude, dismissive and became even worse when I said the rolls were wet. She literally barked at me that her hands were wet when she put them in the bag.

This womans attitude and behaviour is absolutely beyond me. I left after paying and noticed some lovely crispy baguettes in the front window, so I went back in...... the same woman was bitching about me to a woman doing what looked like a stocktake. I pointed out that I was still there and told her how rude and ignorant she was and should never be serving customers with such an attitude.

Customer care is exceptionally important to me and I am sorry but I will never again shop there. The lady doing the stock take was wonderful and very polite and apologised obo her ignorant staff member (who incidentally said the stock take lady was the manager and was quite rightly corrected by colleague.)

I am awaiting a response from the Manager who I believe is in the shop this Thursday.

It goes without saying that this staff member was not only out of her depth, she was extremely overweight and was physically struggling in the heat of the day. (I'm a big person myself so I feel able to call this woman out for her slovenliness) I.e. picking up fresh rolls with dripping wet hands and expecting me to be ok with that.....Sorry but thats...

We normally love this bakery, but this time there were so many wasps crawling all over the food! It really looked disgusting!! I'm sure someone will tell me that they are nothing to be concerned about, but there were dozens of them inside and in the window on all the bakery items....

I visited this bakery and was very impressed. As a vegetarian it was great to see all the bakes on display marked as to whether they were suitable or not and everything I tasted was fresh and delicious. Would...
