Be consistent. Yesterday marked my fourth visit. The first the food and service was lovely. Second was breakfast with my husband and it wasn’t great. This week took my friend. Food was good and although a grumpy lady took my bill at the cash register she offered to split it for my friend and I. The fourth yesterday was definitely a two star review. Food was good although a different sized portion from two days previous. A family nearby was allowed to take up the whole courtyard with young children running around everywhere. Lots of people including myself have dogs and if you are going to mix the area with everybody it doesn’t help to have young children with bikes and kids around other people’s tables. Finally when I went to pay I was told we weren’t allowed to split our bill. Be consistent. What eatery these days doesn’t allow splitting the bill. Waitress was grumpy so I paid. Later we sat at a place nearby and had a much nicer experience. So won’t be introducing your cafe to any of my friends or family in the future....

It was ok but found a member of staff a bit off! My friend asked if she could get an extra chair from inside to sit outside as one group of people took all the chairs from tables, which caused people to wait for a table to become free outside. The member of staff said no it could not be done. We finally got a table outside & whilst we were there, a member of staff gave a woman a chair from inside to sit outside, which annoyed my friend as she was told it couldn’t be done. She spoke to a member of staff about this who was quite rude & said they weren’t the manager! We then ordered some brownies & my friend was handed a very stale brownie from the member of staff she had spoken to about the chair issue! We couldn’t help but feel this was done on purpose & when my friend took it back, she had to wait for a replacement brownie for quite a while! I spent over £40 on this meal so felt quite begrudged by all of this as we were really happy with everything up until this point! Won’t...

I asked for a veggie breakfast with no eggs but with extra mushrooms. My plate arrived (a princely sum of £10.50) with an extra half a mushroom, 1 small slice of toast, lukewarm baked beans, cheap grilled tomato ,a few slithers of avocado brested on a pile of unkempt, unwilted spinach. I found the mushroom . 5 to be unseasoned and after feeling grit in my teeth, I realised the spinach was dirty. As in ,definitely not been washed. As in, it had mud on it, as in there was mud on my plate. I received no apology when I diplomatically brought it up with the less than helpful waiter. The same waiter took my money . I had to probe for some kind of compensation, apology. He angrily gave me my pot of tea free ( atlast 3 quid) .I had had actual soil on my plate. Over rated , over priced and a particularly bad service experience. Having been a chef myself I...

Every now and then you stumble across a little gem. Tim's Place is a fantastically warm and welcoming space. We were immediately greeted by friendly and chatty staff who could not do enough to help. They were very accommodating with our weird food requirements and the breakfast was top drawer: one of the best we've had. The deli next door also run by the same owners was well worth a look too. Thank you for brightening up a rainy, grey day.

Friendly service and a nice clean place. The Carrot and Sweet Potato Soup was tasty and enjoyable. The Large Full English was also good, but just a little underwhelming, especially for a large. It doesn’t come with beans, and has a skinny bit of black pudding, only 1 mushroom and half a tomato. Felt that all of those should be at least twice as many for its price.

Nice place, but scone raw in middle and really watery hot chocolate, no taste. Place like this that sells product with provenance should not fail on these. The time of packet mix hot chocolate is over, should make it from real chocolate not powdered sachets.
