Tony's Diner Cafe — Restaurant in England

Never been here before but stopped off for a coffee today Sundat 5th September. Absolute mayhem inside. All staff looked under pressure serving a full restaurant. As we only wanted a coffee I still found myself in a queue behind six others ordering shipping orders of food . Twenty minutes later and after my husband who had got a bench outside and now had come inside to see where I was, i was eventually served . Now in regard to the food, everything I saw coming out looked excellent and well presented. There was plenty of choice on the menu board for everyone. So if you only want a coffee on a Sunday ride out this is not the place for you but I liked the look of the food on offer so will be returning during the week when it could be a bit quieter to sample the food. Have driven past this place many times for years and today decided to give it a go as it was late afternoon and we had half a hour to kill before our next delivery, dare I say we were both extremely impressed, the premises were immaculate with plenty of inside seating with stunning views from the large windows. The two young lads behind the counter were very welcoming, my colleague has sausage, chips and curry sauce and I just had a coffee. Everything was cooked to order and I must say the chips were some of the best we have ever tasted, they were not greasy and cooked to perfection. Been here a few times, and whilst it's good good, the wait certainly let's it down. Waiting over half an hour for a single fry up n bowl of chips every time. It's a clearly busy place, with friendly staff, but so is over the road. I always like to give places a chance, but the wait definitely let's this place down.

I like that it's proper chippy chips, etc, and the staff are polite.

It's got good views, which are always occupied.

I did see quality of Sunday roast and it looked amazing. Will look to return to eat one at some point, but for Brunch wait has lost my vote.
