For a cafe located within the gardens, I was not expecting the food to be restaurant quality. The mackerel salad was fresh, delicious and filling. The sausage rolls/Cornish pasties were hot, flakey and flavourful. The hake goujons were piping hot and crispy. The veggie tart with goats cheese wasn't too overpowering and very delicious! The cafe building itself was also very spacious, modern and the outdoor seating was plentiful. Prices were reasonable - we spent £60 between 5 people incl....

Tried orderering breakfast, got in the queue at 11:20, only 3/4 customers ahead but only 1 person working on the till whilst others just stood around not doing anything. Got to the till at 11:29 to be told they are not able to serve breakfast any more and that we would have to wait until 12 before we could order any food. All we could order were £6.25 small pre made sandwiches. Not the...

We both noticed how well sound insulated it is in this large open space eatery. It’s stylishly open to the garden on the south side, giving a conservatory ambience. Lots of pale structural wood, providing warmth. The food is light lunch territory, freshly made, we had an excellent tomato soup and a hot sandwich with hake goujons.

Tasty food (much better than expected, given the lack of other options nearby) and a nice variety of tables to sit at indoors and outdoors. There were some intrepid robins on the hunt for food scraps wandering around, which was entertaining
