The restaurant itself is really nice visually and in a good location if you are local to the area. But with regards to the food, we visited for a Sunday roast. The portions provided were very small, the meat was so fatty and partially inedible and it had an awful/strange tang to it, we asked for additional gravy and a gravy boat quite literally the size of a shot glass was provided. We were hardly approached by any waiting staff, even though there 3 waiting staff working and only 4 tables occupied within the entire restaurant and bar. We were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu to which we said yes. 15 minutes later, it was clear there would be no menu given to us. Very disappointing experience, no restaurant staff batted an eyelid or a goodbye as we left the restaurant, but we did manage to get a cheery goodbye from the barman. More so as we received this meal as a gift voucher and we had expected, at the very least hoped for a nice experience. I definitely would have made the effort to argue the cost for what was provided otherwise (gift voucher was £40 for two people and was 1 course and 1 small drink). Sad and...

Lovely outside set up, with the potential for such good vibes if it was a little less empty. The food is good, with some interesting and genuinely delicious combinations, most notably the tangerines in the salad. The menu is large enough to cater for most, whilst maintaining the exciting elements that keep menus fresh. The smoothies and cocktails were also fun, where I must point out the green lean smoothie was actually a pleasure to drink! That being said, it’s a little overpriced, with the burrito and nachos not living up to the price tags really, despite being tasty. The service was kind and polite, always with a smile, offering us blankets when the heaters didn’t work too, which was greatly appreciated! Given the standard of local food in St Ives and beyond, I wouldn’t necessarily jump at the chance to eat here, but if it’s layed back, beachy vibes of sort that you’re looking for, with more generic food away from the crab and fish and chips, then maybe this is the...

This was our first visit to Una Kitchen. First impressions were really good and we had a good welcome form the front of house staff. The service was swift and the starters were very tasty. The main courses was very good too. Three of us had the wood fired pizza's which were as close to real Italian pizza's that we've had before. I went for the hake and it was excellent. So much better than a recent fish dish I had from a local celebrity endorsed restaurant.

One negative here though, dogs being allowed in the restaurant however small is an no no. I hope the management will re consider that as thats the only issue we had.

Overall an excellent dining experience. Thank you Una

I will rate this place with a 4/5 according to my scale. Food quality: 2.1/3 Ambiance of the place: 0.3/0.5 Authenticity/ innovativeness of the place: 0.3/0.5 Value/Price of the place: 0.3/0.5 Service of the place: 0.4/0.5 Total: 3.4/5 We visited Una kitchen twice during our stay in Carbis bay. We found its seafood dishes to be especially tasty, with the highlight being the fish cake and the sauce it came with. The other foods like the pizza and the mackerel are also adequate dishes and the service here was great both times we were here. The price is about average, but the portion sizes are satisfying. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who is in Carbis Bay.

Una Kitchen is the place I will miss the most from my amazing escape to Cornwall! Me and my partner decided to book it for a quick lunch and it was pure love at first sight and bite! So much love that I immediately booked it again for the next day also! If you want the most amazing Italian style pizza, check them out! If you want a yummy burger or a delicious risotto, this is the place to go to! And if you are a massive chocolate fan as I am, you have to try the chocolate Nemesis for afters! Wish I could drive from Exeter to this place every weekend, that's how much I liked it! All in all, can't wait to see you again, UNA! 😍🥂
