Village Coffee — Restaurant in England

Sadly, one to avoid. A really disappointing visit today. The cafe really needs to sort out how it deals with busy periods. Our small group was told there was a 40 minute wait for food, we ordered at 10.39 and still hadn’t had our food at 11.45. Eventually after a gentle reminder the food showed up (and it was ok, my egg yolk was hard as it had probably been sat somewhere hot for a long time but the sausage and other breakfast items were great). The waitress apologised for our wait and offered us some complimentary drinks. We accepted, however by the time we had finished eating they still hadn’t arrived. I left at this point but my two friends who stayed said it was a further 10 minutes before the complimentary coffees appeared. It’s a shame because we started using this as our go to cafe on our Sunday cycle rides but this isn’t the first time one of our group has fell foul of the poor service...

I went into this coffee shop with my granddaughter today and spent in my view what was a generous amount at lunch time. The lady behind the counter was so rude, didn’t acknowledge me, which I could forgive, but to ignore a child who is 3 and very bright ... disgusting !!! At one point she walked off as I was standing at the counter... what is all that about??? If you are in this business, front facing customers, then I suggest you crack a smile !!! What was supposed to be a lovely afternoon in Albrighton, turned out to be such a disappointment !!! Other customers in there were lovely, acknowledging and polite The lady who prepared the food was nice.... maybe she needs to swap places with the lady on the counter..... Will NOT be going in there...

Out on my motorcycle and needed food, Village Coffee is a hidden gem. There's on and off street parking, all subject to how busy it is, and how many of you there are. Either way, they can accommodate. I ordered a bacon and sausage sandwich with an apple tango. It came to just over £7, which isn't bad at all given the quality, and it went down a treat. Any motorcyclists looking for a bite to eat near J3 / M54, Cosford / Albrighton, then this cafe is a great shout! They have a large amount of 2 wheeled visitors, some with pedals and others with engines. Either way, it's not bad at all 😉👍

I recommend anyone looking for a sandwich or bite to eat, definitely give this...
