Village Spice at Albrighton — Restaurant in England

Village spice The new talk and buzz of the village. Recently opened after a refurb and ever since its been very popular, booked a table of 4! (Glad i booked) as the place was packed the Atmosphere was very cossy and homely nevertheless this must be a walk in the park for the team as service was great. Met with the owner “Abdul” what a wonderful ambitious young man full of character and passion for his business was shown. First thing first. Mocktails ordered. Took couple sips and disappeared smooth as it was it was something different same with starters but the show of the night was “Railway Lamb” i have had this dish before but no where near as Village Spice, bursting with flavours and tender lamb. Everything else flowed nicely. Only critism is portions may be abit on the healthy side but very reasonably priced.

This was the first time eating from this take away, we ordered our usual dishes as it is always best to stick to what you know when trying a new takeaway. When ordering we were told 40 mins for delivery however this was in fact over an hour. Food arrived and looked ok, however on tasting it was nothing like it should have been especially when comparing it to the large amount of other establishments I have ordered the same dish from ( you can't go very wrong clearly not the case here). A large amount if the food ordered was not consumed due to the poor taste and poor quality of the rubber like prawns ordered. This meal resulted in my family still being hungry and...

Nice to see investment in Albrighton again with the latest restaurant addition / revamp. Makes a wonderful change to the echoey and bland Indian takeaway down the road.

Food was decent, service was attentive and atmosphere was lively.

Few small points, but haven’t detracted any stars considering how small; the chip side was considerably smaller than expected for £4. A very small bowl. And a drinks order went forgotten after we placed it. Obviously teething issues during an incredibly busy night, so I don’t expect these will be a recurring issue when we return in the near future.
