We came to a local caravan site for a short break and while here we had both takeaway and sit down meal, and on another occasion we bought some of their ice cream. We planned to go and sit down when we first arrived but in the end decided to get a takeaway. My wife had scampi and chips and I had medium haddock and chips, with gravy and mushy peas. All excellent, and I got some of their gelato which they put in a takeaway container with a lid for me which was also excellent. On our last night, after enjoying the takeaway, we decided to go and sit down to eat. The restaurant was very nice, clean and had a lovely family-run and family-friendly feel. The staff on both occasions we visited were very lovely, caring and attentive without being "in your face" so to speak. The food was very good and very well cooked. We had three courses with drinks which came to £75. Highly recommend for both takeaway and eat in. I didn't get a photo of my dessert as it looked so good I forgot...

Fish and chip restaurant in West Ayrton not far from the caravan club site. Food was very good including the insane giant cod or haddock (see picture), clean and very apparent covid rules on separation and cleaning between guests. Booking is advised

The desert fridge needs a chair by it and a large spoon !

Friendly and attentive service in a clean and well spaced environment

As with these places you can eat cheaper out elsewhere but regardless we would recommend a visit here especially for the caravan fraternity, not everyone has to take on the giant cod piece !

It's a 10 min walk and there is also parking around the back of the place.

Overall its a nice restaurant clean and excellent food. Worth a visit but watch out for that giant cod or haddock you better be hungry for that and if you happen to see the Lord of Darkness and the heir to the throne in the Prince of Darkness please kick them out of the desert fridge and...

i recently visited walkers fish and chip restaurant with my son daughter and her fiance in the past we have eaten at the resturant many times and have always been very pleased with the food and service only on this recent visit i was dissapointed with the vast increase of prices on not just the fish but also the price of the desserts £6.95 seems extravagant i had the bakewell tart and when it arrive it was a slab of cake no cream or any offer of ice cream unfortunately i left it as it was very dry .also the chips were black and looked like they had sat for a while.i should have complained there and then but it was my daughter engagement and i didnt want to upset my family.im afraid i wont be coming again which saddens me as we use to rave about walkers but...

We first visited here 10 years ago and enjoyed it then so we decided to come back many years later. We visited on Friday night without booking and the friendly staff managed to squeeze us in. At no time though did we feel rushed. The menu is different varieties of fish cooked in different ways. We all had cod and chips and it was delicious. My son had a giant portion and it was the first time I had seen him defeated by a meal - it was huge! Reasonably priced at £50 for 3 of us including drinks.
