We came to a local caravan site for a short break and while here we had both takeaway and sit down meal, and on another occasion we bought some of their ice cream. We planned to go and sit down when we first arrived but in the end decided to get a takeaway. My wife had scampi and chips and I had medium haddock and chips, with gravy and mushy peas. The staff on both occasions we visited were very lovely, caring and attentive without being "in your face" so to speak. The food was very good and very well cooked. We had three courses with drinks which came to £75. Highly recommend for both takeaway and eat in. I didn't get a photo of my dessert as it looked so good I forgot...
Read moreFish and chip restaurant in West Ayrton not far from the caravan club site. Food was very good including the insane giant cod or haddock (see picture), clean and very apparent covid rules on separation and cleaning between guests. Booking is advised
The desert fridge needs a chair by it and a large spoon !
Friendly and attentive service in a clean and well spaced environment
As with these places you can eat cheaper out elsewhere but regardless we would recommend a visit here especially for the caravan fraternity, not everyone has to take on the giant cod piece !
It's a 10 min walk and there is also parking around the back of the place.
Overall its a nice restaurant clean and excellent food. Worth a visit but watch out for that giant cod or haddock you better be hungry for that and if you happen to see the Lord of Darkness and the heir to the throne in the Prince of Darkness please kick them out of the desert fridge and...
