I’m giving a 3 to be kind. I hate leaving bad reviews but honestly, the chunky veg pasty is basically mushy over cooked offcuts suspended in a clear, nondescript starchy fluid. Me and my wife finally stopped talking about how gross they were after two days, only to open the bin, and be reminded of their unworthiness as food, when the smell of their uneaten dried out carcasses brought it all back. They still looked and smelled the same.
This is clearly not a pasty filed with fresh Veg, herbs and ground pepper as you would dream of, but it’s rather like some falsely thickened liquid containing some tomato powder mixed with the defrosted water that you would find frozen sweetcorn suspended in, with some added starch and sulphite flavour to top it off with that lovely taste of zingy falseness that you don’t even get in a ginsters.
The 3 is for kindness, as I feel somewhat sorry for the pasty. I know I’m a vegetarian, so I cannot comment on the traditional pasty served here, but the vegetarian version is simply...
