If I could give 10 stars I would! Honestly from the min I contacted, they were amazing! Originally I had contacted a few tea rooms on the island and I asked for a full gluten and dairy free afternoon tea for 9 (including children) and 3 normal afternoon teas. Tandem (Zoe) were the only ones whose customer service went above and beyond! They were so accommodating and took extra care to make sure things were done properly! I could not fault anything! As gf and df we had egg mayo, cheese & onion and cheese and pickle sandwiches which were delicious! Home made normal and fruit scones, sausage rolls, brownies and the most beautiful courgette and avocado cake! The kids had brownies, a fruit bowl (strawberries and blueberries) and sandwiches (jam, ham & cheese and cheese) crisps, and scones! The teas were sooooo tasty too and the service was brilliant, honestly above beyond! The atmosphere of the tea room was so cute and and even my mum and Mother in law (who are hard to please) absolutely loved it! Definitely...

Stumbled across this hidden gem of a Cafe whilst doing a self-guided Randonnee Tour of the Isle-of-Wight over the last May Bank Holiday weekend 2023.

Absolutely the best place for any cyclist to stop for a well deserved break. The staff were very accommodating to our vegetarian and vegan dietary needs, food was made with love, and tasted great. Extremely welcoming and friendly service, and we were lucky to get help with a puncture repair from a saintly customer ‘Julian’ who was a regular there. A big thank you also to the landlord of the Pub next door who allowed us the use of his foot pump. 👍🏼

Highly recommend the Isle of Wight Randonnee to all cyclist - irrespective of ability - and the Tandem TeaRoom is ‘must’ to complete...

I grew up on the Isle of Wight, and whenever I come back with my Italian wife and son, I always bring them here at least once because to me it is the quintessence of England. The food is excellent, fairly priced and beautifully presented with delicate china, the decor is charming, possessing an almost Victorian eclectic style; but more importantly is the sing-song cheerfulness of the people that work there, and the way in which they interact with the customers, especially some of the older people who go in there for a cuppa, to whom they chat and brighten up their day with an old-fashioned kindness and friendliness. A lovely corner...

I walked from Shorwell to Brighstone and came in the joy to enjoy a very loveable tea over there with a piece of cake and a "Knickerbocker Glory" that seems to be basically just ice cream, whipped cream and strawberries, but it was nice, especially on a warm summer day. You can sit inside that is highly inspired by Beatrix Potter when you ask me. It gives a cosy mood but you can also sit outside with a view on the tower of the church which is lovely.
