We've had take away coffee from here a few times, and had breakfast once. It is a great little cafe. The coffee and cakes are very good and the food is excellent. The röstis were particularly nice, and were very customisable (my creamy mushroom and fried egg was very different from my wife's avocado and scrambled egg)? The service is also excellent, and very friendly. They look after kids very well - our 1yo woke up unexpectedly and hungry, and they rushed out a bowl of avocado in a rubber baby bowl and spoon extremely quickly. A few other nice things about the cafe: - they have a very generous loyalty card, with every 6th coffee free - they have an extensive menu of food for dogs - there is a lovely drawing of Brighstone all around the white washed internal walls

Nordic night at Calon was a wonderful experience for my partner and I, I got the vegetarian option and he had the meat, both of us were incredibly happy with the food and the service. The pop up night was a cosy atmosphere and we felt relaxed and well looked after the entire time. The cocktail of the night was inventive and delicious and the set menu was some of the best food we have had on the island!! Will defo be going to another!

Amazing cafe! The food was so good we had to go 2 days in a row, couldn't get enough. Lovely attentive staff, gorgeous decor and delicious fresh food. The pork pies are to die for and my favourite was the chocolate and guiness cake 😋 They even have some games you can use. This place has taken my number 1 spot for places to eat on the island, sorry not sorry garlic farm. ❤️

We were a group of friends exploring the Isle of Wight for the weekend, and after some hours of walking in the pouring rain, we were absolutely soaked and weighed down with heavy bags. All we wanted was a warm cup of coffee and a place to dry off—and that’s when we stumbled across Calon Café and Bistro.

From the moment we stepped in, dripping wet and a little bedraggled, we were met with kindness and genuine hospitality. Kizzie went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even helping us settle in so we could change into dry, warm clothes. Not long after, Christie (apologies if I’ve got the name wrong!) served us the most wonderful breakfast comforting, hearty, and exactly what we needed.

What stood out the most wasn’t just the food or the cozy atmosphere, but the way we were treated. Despite how we must have looked coming in, the team showed us warmth, patience, and care that’s rare to come by. Honestly, so many places could learn from the way you do hospitality, it was truly the highlight of our day.

Thank you for looking after us so well. We left not just warm and full, but...

Came here for Sunday breakfast after a recommendation from the girls at work. Wow! What a lovely place. Friendly staff who couldn't do enough for everyone in there, very prettily decorated cafe, and dog-friendly! Actually, more than dog-friendly, dog positive!! Strokes, pats and belly rubs galore 😍 puppachinos, sausages and other doggy treats are on the menu. Lots of choice of hot or cold food & cakes, and tea or coffee both to go or eat in. They will even grind and bag your favourite coffee beans for you to take with you. Will definitely be back, I'm already planning what I'll eat next time!! We had a wonderful time,...
