Honestly had the worst experience here the other day 5 of us went for a meal despite ordering starters first and asking for them first all the food was bought out at the same time, our order wasn't even correct. The steak sizzler was cold and watery and when we told the waiting staff they told us there was nothing they could do ,and all our food was bought out before 9pm I may add because the kitchen was now closing. When clearing away the food the lovely waitress picked up on the food left and condition of it and called the manager callum over ,along with him came a lad called Charlie who works there props to the manager in the end he was very apologetic and gave us a round of drinks free and refund the steak meal, however the whole time he tried talking to us the lad with hi. Was actually having a go at us and blaming us for not telling them sooner even though we had when the good was bought over he was soo rude and we are now 10days on from this experience and my refund has not yet been pocessed having frequented this place as our local for 20+ years we will not be going back the new ownership and handling of...

I can't believe what was my experience with this pub.I was waiting in line and wanted to order a beer, after a long time I told the very young lady behind the counter that can I have one beer please and she said ok but just seconds later she said can you go aside I serve someone behind you. I said but I'm in front of him and she said can you go away because I'm serving someone behind you. I've been living in the Uk for 18 years but never had experience like this. I don't want to say and I am NOT saying she didn't want to serve me because I am foreigner but I have full right to think this. My dear very young child behind counter: you neither offended me nor did you underestimate me before the people behind me you just showed me how poor is your mentality. I have contributed to the tax system of this country more than you exist in this world. Don't recomend this pub if you are not ...sh only. Shame on you and double shame on your employer who should wake up and look on date it is 2024. Sunday 1.9.2024 left side of pub at 18:00. I will Never ever enter to this place not even can say PUB...

Wouldn't go again if they were giving good away. My child's meal came inedible, I can't believe it left the kitchen. Requested for new sausages to be sent to the table, they looked much better but pink on the middle, the texture was disgusting and they didn't taste like sausages. The child's cheese and tomato pizza had a spice in the sauce, my son didn't enjoy it & it was too spicy for my palette. My dinner had random bits of rice on the plate, cross contamination from someone else's meal, we visited on curry night. 2 adult meals served luke warm, the pub was empty, not like they didn't hand time to serve hot food! We were bugged every 5 minutes asking if anyone was finished so plates could be cleared. I've never known plates to be cleared until the whole table is finished. Then we had the disturbance of tables being rearranged around us while trying to eat. This was supposed to be family treat for the summer holidays, we all left disappointed and feeling rather harassed. Really wish we went somewhere else....

Had a very nice evening.food was very good compliments to the chef we ordered three different meals and all were cooked to perfection manager was very welcoming too will go again definitely this place put the Spotted Cow to shame..highly recommend 😀 Right, well, I went for breakfast this morning, and it was terrible and I mean terrible the sausage was dry and hard the bean were so over cooked some were also dried out I had a very sharp bone in my bacon and found egg shell on my plate the whole thing was terrible and the place wasn't even busy I counted 9 other customers. There were also a few very young children there, and you could hear the guy behind the bar laughing and swearing. Our table was dirty, and there was also very large footprints right across my bench seat. And for the toilets well just don't use them..... It's a shame as my last experience here was very good. This experience has spoilt it for me and my wife. I'm afraid we won't be visiting again......

Always loved the Woodlands Edge, especially since its our local, but have to point out, that since it's had new owners, it gone a bit down hill. Firstly , and this has nothing to do with the new owners. They stopped selling strongbow on tap and the prices on the menu keep going up and up, with the great deals going down. Secondly, the whole place seems unkempt and tatty. Simple things like light-bulbs not being replaced, tatty decor and dirty toilets. Lastly, the staff used to seem happy, but barely crack a smile these days. I don't blame them, I know how hard they work. Just think the owners need to put staff, punters and premises before profits..
