This is a Battle of Britain Aerodrome Naafi and next to the Squadron NAAFI is the only surviving WWII E-Pen which now is a memorial with monument and flagpole. The Squadron Naafi is as you would have found it in the second world war. This is a Must visit for history buffs and aviation enthusiasts. Located on the far side of North Weald Aerodrome, the inside perimeter track is a joy to drive in itself for what seems like 2 miles and is a must drive. Hazard Lights have to be used where signposted and vehicles have to give way to planes taxying from small modern planes, to jets and wartime tailwheels, stopping at some points and looking out for aircraft taking off and landing. North Weald is a 20/10 aerodrome and there is no better place than the Squadron Naafi to enjoy the ambience that is North Weald.
Since I did this review 5 months ago, and having visited today I give the Squadron Naafi my personal score of 10/10 & I also award them my Gold Star for Excellence.
Following this review from 5 months ago and my last edit 2 months back; I have concluded today (24/2/18) that;
North Weald is the most authentic Battle of Britain Aerodrome from the big 5; Duxford; Fowlmere; Kenley; Biggin Hill and of course North Weald; I have visited all 5 aerodromes and North Weald is my voted Top Battle of Britain Aerodrome based on authenticity; accessability and ambience.

Also only had instant coffee (pre-made in a huge urn) that they were asking £2 a cup for! not on. Then £4.50 for 2 bits of bacon between cheap, supermarket bread. Will not be visiting again until it gets sorted out. Shame as a...
