Went in May of this year and was extremely disappointed. I always have the hunter’s gammon and turkey yorkie wrap as I’m a fairly picky eater and don’t eat veg. We went in, waited to be seated, ordered. My mum was really hungry so she went and got her Carvery whilst I waited for mine to be made as I’d ordered from the menu. Instead of my order being brought out to me, I got the completely wrong thing delivered to our table. Instead of being in a Yorkshire pudding wrap, it was made as a sandwich so literally some turkey and gammon between two slices of white bread. We complained and said that’s not what we ordered and the waitress said that it would be too long for the yorkie wrap and I said well I was happy to wait, that’s what I wanted otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed if you didn’t have it or weren’t willing to serve it. So she took the sandwich back and we waited about half an hour for them to come back out with food as was meant to be. Also ordered dessert as felt the portions weren’t very good (big difference to other carverys - much prefer the one I went to whilst at uni which I will attach a picture of, see photo with date “a month ago” at the top - last photo). Both bowls were chipped and not of serving quality. Had to inspect my food to make sure no porcelain in it. Found a bit of porcelain in in the roast potatoes bowl. Roast potatoes were hard and cold, as was the meat in the wrap. Absolutely awful. I would not serve plates or bowls like that in my own home let alone a restaurant where families and young children are often present. Went again in September as it’s just the Carvery closest to us and had hoped it was just one bad experience. Got seated and tried to order and they said they’d run out of the yorkie wraps but they had Yorkshire puddings out for Carvery so made no sense. So we finished our drinks and left - very disappointed that we weren’t told and there was no sign up saying they had a shortage or weren’t serving menu items. Waste of money for drinks when we didn’t know we weren’t staying. No transparency at all for their customers. We ate somewhere else and enjoyed it much more. Then today was planning to go and this time thought to call ahead as have been so disappointed in the past with not having main menu items. Called them and was told that they are not serving yorkie wraps this week because it’s not “worth their while” as they are so busy with the 50% off offer going on at the moment. I don’t understand why, when the offer is “50% off MAINS” that they would not serve their mains from the menu. Will attach photos of the email which does not state any menu restrictions. Will not be returning to this Toby Carvery again and wish I hadn’t wasted any time on it at all. Such a shame as went there often as a child and staff used to be so lovely - even offering me to just eat Yorkshire puddings and turkey with a bowl of gravy when I was younger and going for family meals as I didn’t even eat potato back then. It was a relief growing older and finding the Yorkie wraps on the menu which is what I can properly have now when going for a family meal. Such a shame this restaurant just can’t be bothered with making them. What an absolute 180 from how it used to be. Staff on the phone were also very rude apparently. Not impressed. Edit to add 25/08/2025, my mum and her partner went there recently and asked if they could do them as they wanted to convince me to come and meet them. They said they didn’t have them in at the moment (AGAIN). If you are not serving these items on the menus despite being part of a branded chain, take them off the menu or create your own! It’s ridiculous. Never seen a Toby Carvery like it!

What can I say good about the visit, the staff were polite and friendly! We walked into chaos plain and simple. The declaration the organisation has been serving roast dinners up for 35 years was seriously washed away in the calamity that unfolded. We looked online and found a slot available, our party was three in number. Arrived on time, shown to our table and portion size agreed. First person that went to select his food returned with a king-size plate but with proportions of a regular plate. Only two choices of meat/poultry Turkey and Beef, when the menu hints at having the choice of five meats/poultry (e.g. Beef, Gammon, Turkey, Pork and lamb). In the time I've used this particular restaurant I've NEVER experienced such a disgraceful display of chaos plain and simple. Customers were being turned away with the excuse 'the chef has had an incident with another member of staff.' Those customers had booked slots and were looking forward to a reasonably proced meal (some with children). What a way to spoil your trip? How on earth would that fill you with confidence to relax in that atmosphere. 30+ customers were turned away, simply because they weren't capable or ready for such numbers and the estimated covers they would be facing. No gravy in the pots, had to ask for them to be refilled. No accompanying sauces; again requesting them to be refilled. Condiments; had to search other tables ourselves .... total mayhem. It'll be a long time before we return or select with confidence another company restaurant elsewhere. Sorry Toby Carvery on this occasion you failed big style

Can’t fault it for value for money. They were doing a two for £10 offer, where else can you get a full roast for £5. We arrived at the carvery counter only for serving staff to disappear and not reappear for quite a length of time. In this time, quite a queue formed. My dining companion went and asked someone if anyone was serving and was reassured someone would be there in a minute. No explanation as to what the delay was. However, this was a long minute. Eventually someone arrived, there was no apology for the wait. I did think the portions were generous though and it seems the Yorkshire puddings are now self service and the menu suggests they are free to take as many as you wish. So that is a plus point. Barman seemed a little surly and intimidating, not sure if that’s just me... The food was good, I had a desert too, a lime sundae which had big chunks of what was like a lime cheesecake in it and lime syrup. It was very nice. Post Script Updating my review... areas mentioned before much improved! Good to see. Small wait at carvery (unavoidable at times) but it was brief and a simple apology was offered. Made a difference. Everyone else was also friendly and accommodating

Just ordered 2 dinners & 2 deserts from them on Uber eats. Only 1 of both arrived despite the packing having my reciept stapled to it & it clearly stating 2 on the reciept etc... I called Toby C immediatly within 2 mins ,it took 3 attempts for them to answer. I spoke with a wonderful person there ( Helen ) who advised me there was absolutely nothing that she could do & to contact Uber but to get back if I had any problems. I let Uber know that an entire order was missing & they refunded me 1 meal. We then decided to plate up my friends meal, only to discover that one of the meats was missing ( Gammon ) & there was about half a slice of Turkey & even less of the Beef. This was laid across the veg on top of the masses of super tasty veg. Which she loved . ,a yorkie in a bag ,a pot of 7 Pib's & a pot of gravy . As well as the pud & custard. The meal that arrived waa loved by my friend ,but the amount of meat was an absolute joke & no Gammon also is just plain wrong. Adding insult to injury for my missing meal. I attempted to contact Uber again, but unless I call the USA it just tellls me ( Already refunded ) . I recalled Toby C 4 times but got no answer from them. I Have left them a message to call back but do not expect them to do so. I don't know why?, but I both filmed & took pics of us plating it up after we had warmed it up for her, after dealing with Uber & Toby C . I don't mind paying for the meal my friend recieved it was fairly good value but with the miserly meat & missing Gammon alongside my entire meal also not arriving it is just plain wrong to charge for the delivery I feel .This too should have been refunded. I checked my account & my last 50 or so Uber eats food deliveries & they mainly all got 5* reviews so I don't often complain. £25 for my friend to eat ( inc delivery & tip I had applied before it arrived, which I cancelled but Uber re added )& then I had to get something else for me which incurred another delivery charge ( Not Uber ). . After doing 15 hrs & feeling absolutely shattered we were really looking forward to our food, but sadly, it fell at many hurdles.I have never had a single fault or problem when visiting there to eat but this was very upsetting. Anyway, I am very grumpy & tired ,so I am off to bed. I will update if Toby C get back in touch. Uber too should make refunds ,simpler & more transparent. If the order is half wrong & then you discover another problem afterwards & had not realised at delivery point, why should I still have to pay for something beyond my control & not fulfilled properly. Sorry ,Helen you were truly wonderful & I thank you for at least speaking with the team involved & telling me to get back in contact & giving me your name if I needed to speak further. A little miffed, that I did just that. Nobody answered or called mr back,I left my details 3 times I know that you know the truth about what occured & mistskes happen but none of this is on me If somebody did a dine & door dash on you, it would be all over the internet & probably reported to the police. Toby C just did that to us but in reverse & yet, I have to pay for the privilige of them doing so ?... Very off & very wrong. UPDATE : 13/09/2024 .. After Toby carvery changing their reply ,I have called 6 further times & phone not been answered . Left my details 4 times & indeed I emailed them & mentioned Scott's request .leaving my number yet again in that response to them . Still no contact from them at all . Absolutely disgusted how little they think of their customers. I will never use them nor step in their restaurant again. It could easily have been solved on the night they failed to send one of the meals .( Helen knows that is what occured ). A sorry & we will send it at our expense immediatly would have been the correct response . The very least thry would have got would have then been 4 stars for the food & their rectifying their fault ,despite one meat missing & the paltry amounts of the Beef & Turkey in the meal that did arrive. Shame that I cannot give a zero as they don't even...

Our visit at Toby Carvery Worcester Park was a disappointing one due to the 80 mins wait time and the inflexibility of the front of house. We went for lunch on Friday afternoon as a group of 7, we have initially booked a table but we were running a bit late (over 20mins). Totally understand that we would lose the table if the restaurant is busy and possibly needs to wait for the next available table. Upon arrival, we were told that the table has now been taken, which we totally understand, was told that there will be a 45 mins wait. We said we would be happy to split our group into 2 tables if they are nearby. None available neither. The front of house then booked us in for a specific time for the table to become available.

We checked in periodically to see if any table is available to no avail. We return as a group at the time we were told that the table will be available, 10 mins gone by, table was still not available as the guests are taking awhile to pay their bill and finishing their conversations. We were repeated told that it should hopefully be ready soon for the specific table they have in mind for us. Another 5 mins later, we then saw people bringing food towards the Bar area, so we asked if we can do the same as at this point the children were starving. At which point we were then told that they could sit us into 2 separate tables next to each other instead. We were frustrated because we have told them initially that we would be happy to separate our group into 2 tables, understanding that it could be hard to get a table for 7. The 2 tables could have been offered earlier, but the front of house inflexibility has left a bitter taste in our mouths.

Despite the nearly 80 mins wait time, once we sat down for our meal, the waiting staff were great, the...
