This place is a little hit and miss unfortunately and is dissapointing compared to the usual TGIs standard, all because of one person. We were greeted by a very pleasant waitor who seated us and took our drinks and main meal orders in a good time. We didn't wait long for our drinks and he was very accomadinti of wxtee request afor straws, ice ect. He then handed us over to a waitress who was taking over his shift as he was finishing for the day and things took a turn. I've never felt so unwelcome as this waitress made us feel. Our meals came out and we're really nice. We can't fault the food whatsoever. The waitress however didn't come back to check if we wanted any more drinks or if the food was OK. We waited ages for our plates to be cleared and then even longer for her to bring a children's dessert menu over. Me and OH had already ordered our deserts as we had the set menu. We had informed her of this and also made it clear we wanted to order a children's dessert also. After handing us the children's menu, she disappeared for around 10 minutes then came back with the 2 adult puddings.... She hadn't even taken the children's order! When I exclaimed, quite surprised, that she hadn't taken our full dessert order, her only response was 'that's ok'. Well no, to us it wasn't. How unfair for our son to sit there waiting another 10 minutes for his dessert while ours was in front of us. Again, she did not offer nor give any opportunity for us to order more drinks which we had wanted to. As soon as we finished our desserts, and I mean litteraly as we swallowed the last mouthful she walked past our table and placed the bill on the table without stopping. We hadn't asked for the bill, she hadn't checked if all was OK with our food nor if we wanted to order anything else. She didn't even stop at the table long enough for us to call her attention. It was quite obvious she was trying to force us out of the restaurant.
Thankfully we will have no occasion to run into this waitress again as we only visited this restaurant due to it being next door to our hotel while on a mini family break. We certainly wouldn't return given the option unless we could be guaranteed a different waitress. She really brings the place down and made what would have been an enjoyable experience quite...
Read moreMe and my family dinned here at on the 17th October 2023 to celebrate my 17th Birthday. I wanted to write a review regarding the exquisite experience. The food here was absolutley delicious (I ordered some double wopa burger and it was very tatsy with onion rings as a side. We decided to not have a starter and to have a main course and a desert if we fancied later on). The food was presented beautifuuly on the plate with the burger delicately stacked and set next to a substantial cup of chips. It also came with a T.G.I Fridays home made jack danials sauce. It was like dipping the fries into a small pot of paradise for the mouth and gave an excelent finish to the meal. The onion rings were impressively huge and were lovely also. We had brought a Bday cake with us and so we decided not to have a dessert which the staff were absolutely fine with. As a waiter and Barman myself I understand the stress, struggles and effort people put in to make sure that the customers were satasfied. Our waitress was very nice and welcoming who was called vicky (I think thats how it was spelt). She gave us regular check backs to ensure we were happy with the food and if we needed anything. After ordering drinks she had brought them over to the table rapidly and proffesionaly. (We each had non-alcoholic cocktalis). After the meal she brought out my Bday cake out of its box and on its stand. Candles were put ontop and lit. She requested that I stand up and made an announcement to other customers at the restaurant to wish me a happy Bday. It was great to see how much emthusiasm and effort Vicky had put into making our evening out as best as it could be and succeedd very well. Because of her outstanding extent of effort we decided to offer her a slice of the cake to have with a tea or something later on. She was very greatful and deserved it. We wanted to have a coffee each to round off the lovely evening but the coffee machine was broken :( Out of Vicky's kindness, she gave us free Nescafe coffee in a cup fro free :) We left the restaurant with satafaction and made our day. Thanks a lot and will be most deffinitely be...
Read moreEDIT I have reached out already to the site and also responded to the survey you sent me and not heard anything back!
We went for my son's 14th Birthday meal tonight and it was really really poor.
The food was substandard even for the low expectations we had. The service was slow and the staff bar one were rude and disinterested. They had no Coke, Fanta or Oreos... how does that even happen at 6.45pm on a quiet Tuesday?!? The food on arrival was very hit or miss. The chicken fajitas had a 'salsa' that would have blown anyone's head off... obviously a strong chilli was used or something as was literally inedible and this is from people whom like heat!
When we asked if it was OK or raised any concerns we were just told bluntly "that's how it is" not interested and not bothered. A far cry from the customer experience I remembered from the good old TGI's where customer service was key and the staff made the visit worthwile. These staff made the visit only worse. When we were asked again how things were at the end we again were met with disinterest and told thats how it is... why bother asking if your not interested in the answer!
We asked to speak to the manager... after an excessive wait Georgia arrived and it was clear to see where her staff have learnt their lack of skills from... Argumentative and condescending trying to explain to us what salsa was and how the 'head chef' had been spoken to and they had all tried it in the kitchen and it was fine. There was no apology, little care and no offer of anything but an argument. Oh and when we came to pay, the card machine would not accept any apple or Google pay options, only real cards... trip to the car luckily to get the wallet. What would they have done if you only had your phone like must people do now?
Save yourself the upset as it was a ruined Birthday meal which caused alot of upset, we didn't even get to sing Happy Birthday as we all just...
