After 15 years of passing by, I finally had the opportunity to visit Kams Palace Chinese Restaurant in Sagensworth, UK for a Sunday dinner with my family. Overall, our experience was enjoyable, with tasty food and an impressive building showcasing solid Chinese emperor design. However, there are a few areas that could be improved upon to enhance the overall customer experience.
First and foremost, the food was delicious. Each dish we ordered was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The flavors were authentic, and it was evident that care was taken in the preparation. We were pleased with the quality and taste of our meal.
The building itself is quite remarkable, reflecting the grandeur of Chinese imperial architecture. Its design adds to the overall charm and ambiance of the restaurant. However, I couldn't help but notice that the interior could benefit from some refreshing. Although it had a certain nostalgic charm, a touch-up in terms of decor would enhance the dining atmosphere. Piano music should be changed for some chinese playlist.
One aspect that stood out was the demeanor of the staff. While they were efficient in their service, I believe a warmer and more welcoming attitude would greatly contribute to a positive customer experience. A few smiles and expressions of happiness from the staff would go a long way in creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
Additionally, I noticed that some boxes and other kitchen elements were visible from the dining area. It would be beneficial to conceal these items and the takeaway staff, as they can detract from the overall dining experience. Creating a more visually pleasing environment would greatly improve the ambiance of the restaurant.
Despite these areas for improvement, I trust that Kams Palace Chinese Restaurant will take these suggestions into consideration. It is evident that they care about providing a pleasant dining experience to their customers. With a little attention to detail and continued effort, I believe they can further enhance their establishment.
Overall, I would recommend Kams Palace Chinese Restaurant for its tasty food and impressive building. It is a great place to enjoy a Sunday dinner with family. I look forward to seeing the improvements and enjoying future visits to this...
Read moreAwful. Don’t eat here, I came to Kams palace with my girlfriend (24/02/22) I had a beef brisket with noodles. My girlfriend had this vegan chicken stir fry, firstly my beef brisket that I had there was more fat and bones in there than beef and the noodles was crispy. Are noodles meant to be crispy?.. I’m sure there not, and my girlfriends had this horrible tofu stuff instead of chicken and it just tasted really chewy. It also had this weird thing in there I don’t know what it is but it was really bitter, it had a horrible after taste. Other than that the rice in my girlfriends stir fry was ok. My meal altogether was just awful even the beef was to chewy. The staff we felt didn’t really care they didn’t come to check on how our food was very often which I found was a bit odd, the staff weren’t rude tho. In the restaurant my girlfriend was saying about how she’s got a bad stomach ache and she thought it was because of the food, I thought she wasn’t being serious at first but then when we got home I started to get a bit of a stomach ache and I don’t have no energy and I feel really weak, I have food poising symptoms and I’m worried that I have food poisoning. Im currently in bed writing this review. All I can say is don’t eat here it’s not worth it, not worth the money either, if the food was good it actually wouldn’t have been a badly priced restaurant, both of our meals came to £39.49, for 1 starter, and 2 mains, and 2 normal cokes. I have to say the Cole was the best part about the meal. I wouldn’t even pay half that price for such bad meals like that…. Me and my girlfriend are very adventurous we like to eat in a lot of restaurants, we sort of know what’s good and what’s not, and this is not good at all....
Read moreCame here for their dim sum many times, however not sure was it because we arrived a bit late around 2pm (close at 3pm), or because it was during the weekday (some of the chefs are off?), some of their food wasn't the same compared to eating it on the weekend. We ordered our usual: Fried Noodle with Shredded Pork, Lau Sa Bun, Ha Kau (prawn dumplings), Siu Mai (meat dumplings), Deep fried Squid Cake and Fried Thin Beancurd Roll Cheung Fun. Fried Noodle with Shredded Pork: there wasn't much taste to it, the sauce should have been clear instead they added dark soy sauce to it. The noodles were crispy which was great. Lau Sa Bun: their fillings are made in-house. Unfortunately the one I took a pic of, the bin was thicker than the other 2, but their fillings are just perfect as usual. Definitely recommend trying this out or their Cream Egg Paste bun. Ha Kau and Siu Mai were perfect too. Deep fried Squid Cake, the flavour is spot on, always love to dip it in the sauce provided. However, unfortunately it wasn't too hot when it arrived. The fried Beancurd Roll Cheung Fun is always one of the best Cheung Fun dishes. The soft Cheung Fun outside with the crispy Beancurd Roll. However just like the other deep fried dish, the Beancurd was not crispy at all. Which kind of ruined the whole texture of the dish. I definitely recommend these dishes, but you must make sure that the timing is right when ordering i.e avoid ordering the deep fried dishes if you arrive 1 hour before their closing time. The dishes most likely have been sitting there for a while and are no longer crispy. There was still plenty of parking space when we arrived there and we didn't have to wait...
