While The Thatch has been a fixture on Main Street for a long time, when we visited mid-November 2023 it was under new management. On the first visit we each had a coffee and a scone. The coffee was delicious and the scone was everything I expected the home-made scone to be - juicy raisins, firm yet moist texture. It so happened that we were back in Belleek the next day, and we sampled the soup and sandwich combo. The vegetable soup was the ideal soup for the stormy weather and the sandwich was really fresh. We again had coffee and a wee dessert! The plates were bare when we left! Wishing the Thatch continued success!

This a good small coffee shop around the border of NI and ROI. The cafe is a hit in the locals and a must visit places for it's good food and top notch service. We had ordered a Italian styled smoke chicken with caramalized pepper dressing and salad in a wrap and baked chesse potato with salad and chips. The service was upto the mark with a delay of harldy 10 mins in our order. It would be hard to find a table during the weekends so prior booking would be preferred. The shop has a common curb side parking as well. Also would surely recommend their deserts, the warm chocolate Ganache cake with ice cream is a must try.

We stopped off here by chance, and what a wonderful surprise it was! We had sandwiches, panini, Pecan pie and Pear and almond Tart. All were homemade and delicious. We were made so welcome. We all wished we lived near there because we would be in a lot! They are also dog friendly and dropped Ted down water and ham and chicken much his delight. What a lovely gesture. Can't say enough about this place. You have to try this place.

Over many Years have visited the Thatch including Friends from Canada. Always great Greeting, Service food and ambiance Today My wife and I visited for first time in over 12 Months due to Pandemic. Considering it was quite Busy, the greeting was basic, the Service Slow, the Food was Cool, my wife's Tuna Toasty came with side salad with Jo Knive or Fork. Upon requesting those they were supplied but with the comment they weren't normally supplied with that dish. Really, how do you eat a salad without cutlery? With your fingers. Hopefully just a Glitch. One more...
