Burger King — Restaurant in Folkestone and Hythe District

So I was a bit dubious eating here after reading all the reviews however my calms were feared when I was served by a lovely young gentleman named Gary (you don't tend to meet many Gary's anymore). I ordered by XL bacon double cheeseburger meal and proceeded to take my meal and start eating. It was lovely and fresh and was so good I actually went back and ordered an extra cheeseburger (only cheese).

I asked Gary about all the bad reviews I had read about whilst in the queue and he explained that they are working hard to turn around the fortunes of the restaurant and eliminate the bad reviews going forward but recent delays at Eurotunnel caused an normally quiet shift into an extremely manic one. Something he said was fairly difficult to draft such people in at short notice. I said I completely understand and said that my meal was absolutely delicious and that I would definitely visit against next time I would be taking the tunnel again.

Gary is a credit to your company and wish him and his team...

If we have time before a crossing at Eruotunnel, I typically like to have BK, because BK in France is AWFUL. Given the McDonald's verses Burger King choice in USA or the UK, I always choose BK. That said, McD's in France is far superior to BK in France.

This particular visit, the counter staff forgot my wife's coffee and they accidentally made her two orders of chocolate shakes. Since they forgot the coffee, they compensated by giving us the 4 shakes. A nice idea in principle, but not do easy for one person to carry or for us to consume before melting.

The fact is, the Chicken Royal is a guilty pleasure that reminds me of the good ol' USofA and is the same recipe at Eurotunnel as it is in the USA. So a little taste of home is really welcome when I know it doesn't exist in France.

The Eurotunnel BK decently represents Burger...

Appalling service. The waiter gave our order to someone else, realised it so ran after the customer and came back and gave me a tattered bag. I asked if he had given the bag to a different customer to which he said no, absolutely not. My boys were watching and saw the exchange of bags so I asked for new chips that hadn’t been touched by another customer. He made a big deal of my request, showed how annoyed he was and seemed delighted to say that I would have to wait for my chips. Because he was annoyed by my request and not careful with what he was doing, he handed me a bag full of grease and stained my coat. Never did he apologise for any of the mistakes he made. The food wasn’t tasty....
