Diamond Cafe — Restaurant in Folkestone and Hythe District

If you are looking for a cheap, mediocre place to get breakfast this is the place for you. You essentially serve yourself and the servers couldn't be bothered to hold their conversation long enough to let us order. They also never checked in to see if the food was good or if we needed anything. We had never been there before and the servers were not friendly. I ended up spilling some of my food on me and went to the counter to get more napkins and the individual behind the counter was not helpful. The paper napkins are paper thin and it was weird that he didn't just hand me a handful after spilling something on myself and instead asked me if I just wanted 2. Because, two paper-thin napkins were going to help me with the mess and finish the rest of my meal. The eggs bene and eggs Florentine were disappointing. The hashbrowns which you are upcharged for and don't come as a side, are clearly store bought, frozen, and fried which they don't tell you on the menu. You don't get homemade hashbrowns like you might expect in a diner, but instead one singular hashbrown that is reminiscent of Mcdonalds. Both had eggs that were overcooked and the food is bland.
