We recently held a 'Brunch' for our Wedding Guests, the morning following our wedding - which Sailbox kindly hosted.

We had a few back and forths and calls before the day to get everything agreed and ensure we were aligned, and the day went very seamlessly. We mainly corresponded with 'Freya' from Sailbox who was really helpful, friendly and proactive throughout.

Sailbox reserved half of the restuarant tables for us, to host our 50+ guests for two hours (from 11am to 1pm). We had a pre-agreed Menu with certain food being brought out in tranches for our guests, bottles of prosecco and orange juice, and also tokens for our guests to each get a hot drink of choice (Coffee, Tea etc.). We provided the tokens and Sailbox collected these at the till to ensure our Tab was used only by our guests.

Some of our guests had allergens or dietary requirements, which on the day Sailbox catered for with no issues - despite our oversight. They made alternative food for some of our guests, which was much appreciated.

Our only recommendation / feedback would be to have a contact e-mail or number to help with such requests / bookings in future, as the only way we could initially contact was through Instagram.

In Summary, we strongly recommed Sailbox and are very grateful for the efforts that the team put in - especially Freya who helped to organise and ensure the Brunch ran as smoothly...

From the moment you step into Sailbox, you’re greeted by an ambiance that promises an unforgettable experience. The food is nothing short of epic, with flavors that sail you through a delicious journey of culinary excellence. Each dish is a masterpiece, crafted with care and presented with flair.

As you savor the exquisite cuisine, your eyes are treated to the amazing view. The picturesque vista of the Folkestone coastline is a feast for the eyes, complementing the feast on your plate. It’s a harmonious blend of nature’s beauty and gastronomic delights.

The atmosphere is elevated by the great music that resonates through the space, setting a rhythm that’s both relaxing and invigorating. It’s the perfect backdrop for dining, chatting, and making memories.

And then, there’s the incredible Bloody Mary—a shout out is indeed in order for this concoction. It’s bold, it’s zesty, and it’s the perfect accompaniment to the epicurean adventure at Sailbox. This isn’t just a drink; it’s a statement—a testament to the creativity and passion that flows through the venue.

In conclusion, Sailbox in Folkestone is more than a restaurant; it’s a destination that offers a symphony of tastes, sights, and sounds. It’s a place where each visit is a new voyage, and every meal is a discovery. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exceptional...

We popped in here today for breakfast on a day trip to Folkstone. Firstly, it’s a fab setting, and very chilled. We decided to sit inside for a bit of time out of the sun as we had our dog with us who was getting a bit hot. Inside was a nice vibe, clean and cool. We ordered a master breakfast and a fisherman’s breakfast. We didn’t wait long for the food even though it was relatively busy. We really rated our breakfasts and we always know we are enjoying it when there is complete silence at the table 😂 no time to talk - too yummy! The bacon was delicious, eggs yummy, everything was just so nice. Could have done with one more piece of toast but I’m greedy so it’s not a moan just that I would have eaten another bit 😆 After reading the other reviews, I am surprised people give this place a hard time. I am quite a hard to please person, my previous reviews show I’m very honest. This place surpassed our expectations, and we...

Nice and toasty eatery, perfect as our halfway stop-off point during our 12-mile walk last weekend. The place boasts lovely, clear views of the channel. When we arrived it was packed - a good sign - and we were happy to wait only about 10 minutes to grab our table for two. Our food was tasty, fresh and filling, and there’s a good drinks list to choose from too. We had the avocado, bacon & poached egg on sour dough toast and the fish tacos (ordered at the bar). Colours were vibrant and tastes tingled the taste buds, and it was really good seeing the kitchen area from where we sat. (Plus Sailbox’s staff getting on so nicely with each other.) Only downside for us was there was a dog barking, which did change the mood a little. All in all, I definitely recommend you give them a try when you’re next on the Folkestone Harbour arm 👌

Bit confused as to whether to wait to be seated like the big sign says, or find a table and order at the bar like the smaller sign says. We hung about but when no one came to us we asked if we should find somewhere to sit. We then had the vegan burgers which were nice but overpriced by about £5 considering how small they are. Perhaps short for staff that day, no one was cleaning tables or taking away plates. We left where we sat cleaner than when we arrived which with two babies under 3 is saying something! This place has so much potential so it’s a shame the basics weren’t met. Could also very easily install a baby changing unit, doesn’t make much sense to have high chairs but no where to change nappies but on the floor in the bathroom.
