The Pilot Beach Bar — Restaurant in Folkestone and Hythe District

We had a lovely day on the beach surfing down the pebbles on our boogie boards, I forgot to take my t shirt off on my first go and it got wet, later in the evening my friend asked me to get her a gin and tonic and I went in to the pilot bar with no top on (in a beach bar) and they would not serve me stating company policy. Considering that my sister had earlier got served in a tiny bikini I was appalled at this discrimination, the staff were ok but this to me is symptomatic of the despicable corporate nature of the harbour arm...

Lovely experience being on the sea front & part of "The Arm". Love what they've done with the old fairground ride kit, very ept. Prices however are a bit steep for what it is, a reused shipping container done up. Feedback - would have been nice to have glasses instead of plastic beakers. Wasn't asked if we were going outside, therefore assuming plastic (disposable, non recycled) cups were the only option. I hope they are recycled. A perfectly located beach bar, with a cute decor and plenty of outdoor seatings. Had a frozen daiquiri, which was really lovely flavour, not too sweet and nice frozen texture.
