The Railway Tandoori — Restaurant in Forest of Dean

Placed an order at 5:15, little treat for the kids and the in-laws next door. I was surprised to see both the delivery and collection time change from 60 minutes to 120 minutes, but I was prepared to wait as there are plenty of good reviews about the food. The expected delivery time came and went, couldn't get hold of the restaurant and the "live chat" is nothing but a bot that offers no help at all. At 8:05 the food finally arrives, no apology from the driver, just a comment about the amount of food we had ordered..... the food was OK, couldn't complain about it, it was hot and tasty enough, but nearly 3 hours later I had pretty much lost my appetite and my kids were ready for bed. It wasn't exactly cheap either! Maybe they are a victim of their own success, in which case they really need to look at the way they are set up and improve their output capacity. I won't be bothering with here again, other places may not have quite as good food, but at least I can get it in less...

Really frustrated with our latest takeaway which cost about £60 for 4 people, we’ve eaten here and had takeaway more times than I can remember over the years and most of the time the food has been great and we feel fortunate to have this locally. We’ve only had a handful of issues over the years.

But last night was a complete disappointment and unforgivable as it clearly wasn’t a mistake, we paid for a LAMB Cpt Jamal curry, what we got was a vegetable curry with 2 maybe 3 extra thin slivers of lamb kebab in it. Possibly cost saving since bringing the lamb kebab to the menu in the pub...

I’m visiting from the U.S. so not sure if chicken tikka masala tastes different there versus here but this is nothing like any chicken tikka masala I have ever eaten before (and I have had it dozens of times in different restaurants). First off this is red and has no veggies or anything in it just the sauce and some chicken bits. The texture is not right and it tastes sweet not at all like chicken tikka masala should taste like.
