The food here is incredible, always fresh and tasty. I really cannot fault it. Unfortunately I cannot give them five stars due to the wait time. I queued today for over half an hour outside and they seem to prioritise phone in orders so that takes extra time then delays waiting customers with random people turning up to collect their food. That's a bit of a shame and I feel isn't fair on others.

Cod was freshly cooked and chips were tasty. Portions were large. Queue was fairly long, out the shop and down the street, but it was a Friday and well worth the short wait. Service was quick and the ladies worked fast to get orders completed. Would visit again when next in the area.

Whilst on holiday in the area we stopped for fish and chips. They were excellent. Will go again next time we're down on holiday. This is a small portion of chips

By far the best chippie for miles thanks to the hard work, skill & dedication of Andy and his staff. Amazing quality fresh cod and chips of very generous portions and if you order large for only about £1.70 extra you will receive a fish of such gigantic proportions and a mountain of chips sufficient to feed a small family! Other delights I think unique to Tramstop are their cheese and onion, bean or mushy pea fritters, yummy! I've been a regular customer of Andy's for around 30 years since the days when he had his chippie at Whitecroft, long...

Can't fault the fish & chips - the best I've ever tasted. Had to wait a few minutes for a new batch of fish to fry but just shows popularity of the place. If the owners read this and feedback got back about a guy who got visually upset (cried)...it was me. Should explain - I have anorexia...this was a test for me...a test too far really. No issue with the shop, just what was going on in my head. Tram Stop & its food is perfect (even if I only managed a small amount of what I ordered...one day I hope it'll...

I saw the great feedback for here & thought it was a 'must try'. First impressions when opening the cod & chips was wow! But....the batter was 75% uncooked & inedible, the chips looked nice & probably tasted quite nice when they were cooked but they had obviously been hanging around for some time & tasted stale. The good bit....the large flakes of fish was really nice & had the batter been cooked crispy with fresh chips then maybe it would be...
