Amazing food and service but our first and last ever food delivery was over two and a half hours late. We ordered around 5.45 and the food arrived at about 8.30 after 3 phone calls. When it arrived it wasn't our complete order and some dishes were cold? So we binned it and cooked our own meal. So many places do delivery perfectly. They never even apologised so have lost our custom. You have to understand we live about 400 meters and four streets away. Not lazy just trying to be Covid safe.

As an eat in indian curry house this is 5 star (one of the best in the North East) but as a delivery service a 1 star. Hence the 3 star review.

5/5 Eat in = amazing food, pesentation, service and atmosphere. 4/5 Take away = great service, polite, good atmosphere, quick, food not as good as the eat in food quality. 1/5 Delivery = Complete failure in terms of service, poor presentation, excruciatingly slow delivery (over 2 and 1/2 hours and three phone calls) cold food, missing food. Disappointing. When we rang we were told to collect missing items in 40mins. Errr... It was the rice dishes, nann and one half of the biriani dish. Half the order was missing... It was a delivery service???

Ordered a banquet meal for 2 when collect meal some of the order missing, my husband rang up & was asked to go back to collect rest of order , we realised part of the order was missing whilst we where dishing the meal out, part plated order had to be put in oven totally ruining the meal, while my husband collected the rest of the order! If this wasn't bad enough (mistakes can be made!) No apology was given, !Then one of the staff, whilst my husband was en route called my home, my 'son' answered the phone and was 'blamed ' for the situation! Whoever called said he'd only asked for part of the banquet! As if you'd order & pay for a banquet but ask for only part of it! What was ordered was2 of the same rice & 2 of the same nan breads & an extra side of chips! Like I say mistakes can happen but no apology & calling my home to blame extremely unprofessional, would not go back & wouldn't recommend! If I could remove the one star for the unprofessional ...

Just been back to this restaurant after a few months away. Same great food but appalling service. Table booked for 7pm but didn't get our starters till 8.20. Staff were polite but didn't seem to see it as a problem. This is what will make me look elsewhere. My original review is below in case this was a single bad night.

Great chance last night to visit this good Indian Restaurant in a former pub. Staff were friendly, informative and helpful. Food was well prepared and presented. Prices seemed reasonable to me. We are from their fixed price banquets menu (Monday to Thursday). Full A La Carte is also available which I will try next time I visit.

Update: So, I have now visited several times and eaten dishes from across the A La Carte menu. All have been excellent and obviously prepared with care giving me a wide variety of tastes and flavours. On this visit we were even served an...
