Absolute hell hole The whole place stinks of stale beer, drains and who knows what else, it looks like it hasn't had a good clean in years and the toilets are disgusting.
The decor is absolutely bizarre, they've for some reason turned a traditional historic pub in the heart of old Ryton into this weird, grungy, dark place that has the vibe of a heavy metal basement bar. The neon lighting, strange paintwork and bizarre signs and scrawlings on the walls just add to the creepy feel of the place. If you're a cyber-goth you'll probably love it, if you fancy a nice pint and food in a welcoming atmosphere avoid it...
Read moreSo me and my partner visited for a nice quite drink, we sat in the nice beer garden only to be accused of very offensive things we were most certainly not doing and i wish not to repeate what we were told by staff in the pub. As we were leaving we were laughed at by grown men and women twice our age which upset my partner as he already deals with anxiety as we were leaving quietly i was called names and told to get out!. It was Steak Night when we went (Tuesdays), two starters, and two steaks (including Sirloin) for £20, which is decent value, and I have to admit, the steaks were really good too.
