Staying in this area for the first time with work and decided to eat at this pub which turned out to be the worst mistake I have ever made. Can hands down say this was the worst food and service i have ever received. I ordered fish and chips and a pint of beer which came to a total of £21 and received nothing more than 10 chips and a frozen fish. My work colleague ordered a chicken burger which came out pink and was taken off the price at the end of our meal because they knew theirselves it wasn’t acceptable.

This is the second time we have been to the Huntsman on Blaydon Bank for a mid week meal and it was as fantastic as the first time. The owners have really turned this pub around with a face lift and meals at very reasonable prices ( average price £6.95 to £7.95). The food was beautiful - the steak pie is to die and as for the real home made chips, I just died and went to heaven! My 87 year old dad lives on Loop Farm Estate so it's an ideal spot to take him for a change, we will...

Fab food .. second time had lunch here had Sunday dinner here today was scrummy everything was hot an fresh and real mushy peas beautiful . The staff are so pleasant nice atmosphere and lovely background music . Well done to the owner . Will deffinetly be back as it's on the door step get your self along...
