The Huntsman — Restaurant in Gateshead

Staying in this area for the first time with work and decided to eat at this pub which turned out to be the worst mistake I have ever made. Can hands down say this was the worst food and service i have ever received. I ordered fish and chips and a pint of beer which came to a total of £21 and received nothing more than 10 chips and a frozen fish. My work colleague ordered a chicken burger which came out pink and was taken off the price at the end of our meal because they knew theirselves it...

This is the second time we have been to the Huntsman on Blaydon Bank for a mid week meal and it was as fantastic as the first time. The owners have really turned this pub around with a face lift and meals at very reasonable prices ( average price £6.95 to £7.95). The food was beautiful - the steak pie is to die and as for the real home made chips, I just died and went to heaven!
