After the experience we had in this pub today, it’s safe to say that this will be our first and last visit as a family. We went in at around 11:25am today and did not receive a very warm welcome. We were seated, handed menus and asked if we wanted any drinks or a couple of minutes to decide. We asked for a minute to decide but the lady seating us didn’t come back to us for at least 15 minutes or so despite there being only one or two other parties seated in the entire place. The menus were very sticky. I ordered the veggie breakfast and my sister ordered the regular full english. We waited a further half an hour for our food. A couple seated later than us got their Sunday roasts (which start at 12pm) before we got our breakfasts. Nobody apologised for the wait or updated us at all. My sisters breakfast eventually came out just fine, however mine was a shambles. A server came out and handed me a breakfast with no hash browns and no sausages, and only informed me then that they were out of stock on quorn sausages. If someone had informed me and given me the option to change my order or chose a substitute, I would’ve much preferred to do that than to have a chunk of my meal missing. She said she would remove the charge for a side we ordered (hollandaise sauce for £1.89) to make up for it and later returned saying the chef was making me a vegan burger to make up for the missing food. I asked her why my plate was missing the hash browns and my sisters wasn’t, she said it doesn’t come with the veg breakfast but that she’d double-check it for me (it said on the menu that it did) and then came out with one for me on a side plate after confirming they forgot it. The food was unfortunately not great. Neither of us enjoyed any element of it, but it was okay and edible. Around midway through my meal, the server came out with two pieces of vegan burger patty which had been rolled into sausage shapes. I appreciated the effort but these were not cooked through, it wasn’t what I ordered and I still was not offered a single choice throughout this entire ordeal. After our food, we waited for the bill and were given a bill including a charge for the £1.89 side the server said she had removed for us. When we questioned it thinking she made an honest mistake by not removing it, she said she was no longer going to do what she had said because she brought out the burger patty?!? In her eyes, bringing me a burger patty I didn’t ask for with my breakfast meant she no longer had to remove a charge she said she would. We were both shocked by what she said. She did remove that charge after we questioned it but I just can’t believe they thought that was a decent thing to do. As we left, the lady that seated us who appeared to be a manager saw us but didn’t say anything to us or even smile at us. We weren’t rude in the slightest during our visit and didn’t complain other than asking about the missing items and bill so it didn’t make sense for us to receive cold treatment. I’ve worked in the industry for years, and whether it was jobs in the lowest end pubs to fine dining restaurants, I never could’ve gotten away with offering that service or food to anybody. Ever. If you are out of stock on something your customer has ordered, it seems like common knowledge to go and communicate that with them and allow them to make an informed decision for themselves rather than deciding to give them whatever you like and charge them full price for it? I wasn’t asked what I would like throughout the entire visit. I came in for a full english breakfast, not an undercooked burger patty with bread, beans and an egg. So disappointed.

We will not be returning...

Went here today 21st July 2022, Since when I entered I noticed that this place was weird as the waitress at the bar counter didn't want to accommodate me in a table for 1 person as the place was busy she said. At first I said ok probably I just came right during the peak time and I asked the waitress if I could have come later in an hour, she agreed and that's how it went.

Showed up at the pub 1 hour later I got accomodate from another waitress at a table for 4 and asked for my pint of beer in the while time I was reading the menu.

I went to the rest room and realised that the place was so huge that not even a quarter of its capacity was occupied from the customers while the waitress said that they were busy at the very beginning, mahh...

Came back to my table and I finally ordered my food, a starter with some refilled and grilled courgettes rolls with a salad next to them and a main course of mixed grill. I arranged with the waitress to have the starter first followed later by the main course. I've probably waited 10 to 15 mins for the starter to arrive, and once I finished I also waited 15 mins without noone checking on me. I had enough and walked towards the kitchen to remember them that I was still alive and ready to eat my main course complaining the waitress that was chatting with her colleague instead to take her duty seriously.

Before to finish my meal the waitress was asking me from behind the shelf if I was happy with the food avoiding the face to face dialogue which I found it very rude, anyway.

Once finished the mixed grilled I asked for the bill and got invited to pay to the bar counter asking there for the 20% discount as I was staying in the next door accommodation Premier Inn.

Once I paid the bill, I asked for my receipts as I had to declare the food as expenses for the company where I work. The waitress gave me a different receipt where the amount to pay was less compare the one I paid and the food with the drink were not even the ones I ordered, So I had to ask for the second time my receipt once again...

Not happy at all with this place I would not definitely...

Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to Chloe and the team for your hospitality. We recently used the function room to host an 8th birthday party and I can honestly say the service was second to none... from the start the welcome and the support we recieved was fantastic.... The function room is a fantastic space, we held for 35 people in total and there was plenty of space to dance and also seat each person (we did a mocktail amd canvas theme painting party) the room is decorated in neutral colours so is great to decorate for your own theme, there are various sized tables available for seating in which the team discuss how you would like the room set and and have it ready for your arrival.. The food... with it being a kids party I had a meeting with chloe where she listened to my requirements and she came up with some great alternatives to cater for the kids and also the adults and the food went down a treat, everyone was commenting on how tasty it was and the selection was fantastic... there was 1 unforseen issue but Chloe immediately called me and resolved the matter. Setting up for the party Chloe and her team supported us with ideas and created a mocktail station for the kids drinks which they absolutely loved ... we were given the option to have a team member man the bar for us which was also a great touch. I genuinely felt we were looked after from the very start and would definately use this venue again for another function... We will be coming back for food too as the buffet provided was 10/10 so can only imagine that the main menu would be just as fantastic... Again thank you Coopers brook team you are all stars!! I would definately recommend this venue for your function/event/meeting.. (and I am a fussy one with very high expectations)

Wow, they really could not care about the food they serve here and the service is deplorable. The breakfast looked like it had been on an epic adventure through the Sahara desert it was dehydrated. I avoided it after that. An evening meal - the selection based on the least thing they could get wrong - steak pie and chips, proved my optimism to be misplaced. The pastry was obviously repurposed from an old WWII pill box - it needed a jack hammer to break it up. As a bonus, the gravy came with extra lumps. What chef would look at that poor excuse for a meal and think "yep, send it out". As for the staff, the minute you enter your previously unknown superheroes powers are activated - that of invisibility. The staff - especially the bar manager - are experts in avoiding eye contact and they always seems to have a few trivial tasks to do before serving a customer at the empty bar. Only eat here if you have absolutely no other option.

Wow, I wish I'd got the steak. No, I thought, I'll get the salmon with tiger prawns, at nearly 17 quid I thought, that'll be decent. It wasnt, it was a greasy little salmon tragedy with 2 inedible prawns on a bed of grease surrounded by a kebab shop salad with no dressing. I tell a lie, the dressing was on the table, heinz salad cream. To say i was dissapointed was an understatement, to say wetherspoons, half a mile away, would have done a better job for a third of the price would be a disservice to wetherspoons. This pub clearly relies on its proximity to a premier inn for a supply of wide eyed visitors to fork out 5.50 for a pint before they check google maps and notice theres a perfectly good high street full of eateries within walking distance. To summarise, shamefull garbage. Photos provided, the liquid around the salmon is oil. By way of contrition, the staff were very nice .

Coppers Brook is a lovely clean pub and the front of house staff are very good. However, their Sunday lunch leaves a lot to be desired. It’s £14.99 and for that you get 2 slices of turkey, a mountain of cold frozen peas 2 broccoli florets which are made of concrete, a wafer of stuffing and literally 3 tiny slices of carrot which probably amounts to around a third of an actual carrot. In true Oliver Twist style I dared to ask for more carrots for our table and three more tiny slices appeared. The waiter was embarrassed to hand them over and did discount our bill. To be fair, the carrots were delicious but as you can see from the pic in short supply. And that was a portion for 3 people. For perspective these are approximately 5cm long
