(VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE) I ordered a takeaway online and asked if they could make my food spicy. The man I spoke to refused and said putting a chilli in my food was cross contamination and it’s against food regulations and would give me diarrhoea. I couldn’t believe what he was saying to me on the phone. I also spoke to someone else when picking up my food he said it’s fine there should be no problem with ordering and eating spicy food. It’s all because of his personal opinion. I spoke with him on the phone and later on when asked to speak to manager he refused to put the manager on. I’ve never known someone to have such a problem with making Indian food spicy. NEVER ordering from there again sooo RUDE 😡 . The place takes cards yet when they have taken our order they said they prefer cash so we had to go to withdraw some money. This wasn’t a problem as such however kitchen won’t start preparing your food until you pay. Funny enough after we have paid some guy who ordered over the phone walked in and had no problems of paying by card with DIFFERENT server.
Our order was chicken pasanda, chicken balti, rice, saag aloo and naans.
Food is ok but nothing to rave about, just a step above from ready melas.
Both the meals tasted the same and the dominant taste was onion, not what we expect from Indian.

Read moreWe've been eating at the Balti Hut regularly for over ten years. The food has always been excellent, service good and staff friendly and welcoming. However on Saturday 29th October, although the food was good and he service quick, we found the staff to be unfriendly, unwelcoming and cold. Service was robotic and the staff didn't even look up to say goodbye or thank you as we left passing by the reception desk. I find this unacceptable for a family meal where we had spent approximately £100. In the past the restaurant has always been busy at the time of our booking (730) with a good atmosphere however the restaurant was not busy at all and i wonder if people had been put off coming for the same problems experienced by us. i'm seriously considering going elsewhere....
