I've never had a bad meal at the Spice House in Barnwood, Gloucester and the service is always very personal & excellent. It's not licensed to sell alcohol so drinks are provided by the adjacent club, with prices very reasonable at just £3.50 for a pint of Coors. The food is very good and the owner is particularly knowledgeable about allergies, particularly nuts, getting pure almond powder, rather than cheaper versions which have a blend of almond and other nuts, meaning that it is no good for allergy sufferers. The lamb shaslik is always my favourite with either a keema nan or a tikka nan. The tables are well spaced out, so it's not cramped and you're not sat right on top of each other. Another nice meal 😋 👌 Thank you.

Nice Indian, decent prices, good size portions. The only thing that is a bit weird is the drinks come from the bar next door so ordered through a different person so at times drinks service isn’t as quick even though loads of the staff from the curry house are walking around. You also have to settle two different bills at the end - one for food and one for drink.

Curry, as per usual is very nice and flavoursome. And I do like that have a large selection of currys to choose from. Despite it being quiet, I felt the service was rushed and they were eager for us to finish and leave. Disappointed that they didn't have any desserts. Otherwise, would definitely reccomend both novices and curry connoisseurs alike.

We called up last minute on a Friday night and was happy they squeezed us in. Having read the reviews, I was expecting a good curry.

Parking was fine, no dramas and were seated straightaway. Service was prompt and friendly.

The food however was what I'd describe as average. I had the garlic chilli chicken and garlic mushrooms for starters.

The mushrooms just looked like some cream had been poured over it and I couldn't even taste the garlic.

The Garlic Chilli chicken was hot (3 chillis) which was OK. The taste didn't wow me and the main attraction it seemed was the spice from the chilli's.

Overall it was fine, staff seem nice and it was plenty busy. So it does seem most people are happy. Maybe I just have...

First time trying this place. Food was alright (I think the Indian takeaway we use is hard to beat) the only thing I would say that I thought was really unprofessional was the table behind us asked for their food to be put into containers to take home as they couldn't finish their meals and the waiter went and got the containers from the kitchen and started emptying the food off the plates into the containers in the restaurant on the table next to the customers, barring in mind there was quite a lot of people in the restaurant. Just found it very odd to turn around and the waiter is scraping food into a container on the table next to us. Also was waiting quite a long time for our food. Probably won't...
