Anisa — Restaurant in Gravesham

We sat down for our meal at 7pm, waited 30 minutes to be acknowledged at the table and have someone take our order. We received our mains at 9:15pm (almost 2 hours after ordering them) and when they arrived, they were cold. Nobody came over to our table within those 2 hours to apologise for the wait, ask us if we needed anything or explain what was going on, but the phone was ringing non stop and the collections and deliveries were flying out of the kitchen no problem, so I can only imagine our order just kept getting pushed back because takeaways are more profitable. We’ve been loyal customers of Anisa for years and order takeaways from them regularly, but our decision to eat in tonight left us all very disappointed and we won’t be back in a hurry. I work in the hospitality industry myself and am usually reluctant to write negative reviews as I know how damaging they can be, had they been completely rushed off their feet and a bit more attentive maybe I could understand, but you can’t expect to take on more orders than you can fulfil, purely because you’re greedy, and expect people to happily hand over their money for such an awful service....

I live in the local area of this restaurant and bumped in to one of the staff walking around. I could see he was new as he was looking around and we started talking, he told me has moved in to the Anisa and it is under new management. I was happy as the previous owners were not serving the greatest food. He told me that the best dish was the masala dishes so that night I tried it. Me and my mum ordered a couple of dishes and we were amazed my tikka masala was beutiful as well as the rice. There was one dish missing but as soon as we informed them they dropped it off with an extra bottle of coke for free. Really good customer service and fresh fly staff let alone the great food. I don't often leave reviews but the food from this place was amazing everything was piping hot and fresh u can tell They dont use one sauce for a base like most places do the lamb was especially nice and tender and the peshawari naan and kema nans were to die for I had a chicken korma and my partner had lamb pathia I really can't put into words how amazing there food is from ordering to delivery I can't fault them the staff in the shop are very friendly and there drivers also really friendly i honestly can't express enough how much of a gem this place is if your a proper foodie and like authentic Indian food this is the place for you well done guys will be seeing u again very...
