I have visited this place twice in 2 weeks. First time we asked for a bottle of white wine. Landlord came back with an opened bottle of wine without giving us any choice or showing us a wine list. Food OK but served on cold plates. Landlord couldn't be bothered to communicate with any customers. 2nd time the young barmaid was extremely miserable. We stood at bar waiting to be served for a few minutes before she came out with phone in hand and no apology for keeping us waiting. took my 86 year old, nearly blind father for a nice pub lunch a few sundays ago. we ordered a cheese and a ham sandwich with "chunky chips", the chips were ok. The bread was thick pre sliced, I had one thin slice of pre packaged reformed ham and not even a hint of a salad garnish. My fathers cheese was equally thin and tasteless. The price was ok, but i'd rather pay a bit more for real ham and a few green leaves. Friendly staff, nice garden, but the sunday roast advertised was off, as I was informed, due to lack of interest. Draw your own conclusions. Would go again but...
