Bish 'n' Chips — Restaurant in Great Britain

I'll be honest, normally I can't be bothered to write reviews, but after my 4th visit I felt it only fair.

Great little fish and chip shop. I go to Wetherby Whaler religiously and am very loyal, but during the recent Covid19 outbreak Wetherby Whaler has shut their doors and I was forced to try something new. This came highly recommended to me and they were right. The batter is awesome and the fish is meaty and fresh. Last week I decided to try the fish bites instead of my usual fish and chips with mushy peas...the fish bites were epic. The ratio of fish to batter was brilliant and they were still really good size chunks of fish.

Usually I drive back to Clifton Moor and eat them when I get home but this time I decided to eat them in my car outside the takeaway which was a brilliant idea - the batter was even more impressive as it hadn't had chance to sweat - super crispy. The shop were explaining that they're under new management and they now deliver as well....naturally I asked for battered liver which was welcomed with more laughter than I'm sure it deserved...

Worth noting that they are operating great social distancing rules might I add - 1 in 1 out policy when I was there with hand sanitiser available!

The only thing that could make this better for me would be some proper chicken nuggets - that's one thing I usually get at Wetherby Whaler...they call them 'Adult Nuggets' and they are sensational, so if I was to ask for anything it would be that they start doing adult nuggets too (proper pure chunks of chicken smothered in batter) - but this is top notch for me. I've had Wetherby Whaler fish and chips, Thompsons fish and chips and now Bish n' Chips fish and chips and they are up there with the best!

Can't recommend highly enough - get yourself a full belly as soon as you can!

What more could I ask for? excellent food and a amazing price. But I'm not going to lie sometimes I just come in to see the hunky employee that works there on a Wednesday. His chiselled jaw line, dreamy eyes, huge biceps give me tingles all over ;). occasionally as I give him my cash I brush his soft, but manly, hands with the tips of my fingers and look deep into his eyes to establish a connecting. I have had no such connection yet, but as I go in more and more I want to open up to him in the hopes that he will one day in turn open up to me as well. The chip inn, a must go to location, if not for the food for the views of...

Really helpful people working there as I like food to be cooked in vegetable oil which they accommodated. It was difficult to find a place that did and I phoned before arriving to check first since other places nearby used animal fat. However my husband was happy when he had a choice and he chose to have his cooked in animal fat. We knew we would need to wait longer since they were going the extra mile for us and so we sat in our van and waited. A kind member of the team came out to the van with our food.
