Cardiff Golf Club — Restaurant in Great Britain

I hate being too critical as its a lovely golf club and course. But for a private golf club I found the drinks a tad too expensive. £20 for cheapest bottle of house wine, £3.80 for a point of brains is higher than Wellfield road or city pubs such as the old arcade or city arms. My mother's tiny tonic water was £1.80 - the waitress did ask if we wanted two bottles as the small bottles are really only intended as mixers, but £3.60 for a glass of tonic water is ridiculous. We'd taken a child to the Christmas party and the sandwiches were stale and full of the nastiest and obviously cheapest mild cheddar imaginable - obviously times are hard. Update: returned following week for family Sunday lunch. Oh dear, yes they were busy, but they ran out of meat. Some people waited whilst they produced more (rare isn't the word - they were under pressure to get it cooked and served), whilst some of us took the plunge and opted for the the off cuts. We just had our wedding party there the venue is beautiful and looked stunning for our party. The food was absolutely amazing what a spread they put on for us and so much of it thank you to Jay and his team. The DJ James/Paul was so thoughtful aswell asking for a list of music we wanted and what we didnt want made our night so special and lastly Emilia the events manager what a gem, the golf club is so lucky to have her she was absolutely amazing she made us feel so special from the beginning (us going to see the venue and the day of our party) to the end replying to.our emails without hesitation. Great Mother’s Day Meal.

Visited today for Mother’s Day with my Mum, sister and her husband. Our table was great, sat by the huge windows overlooking an awesome view. Food was incredible, table had starters of Pate, crab cakes and mushroom soup, whilst I didn’t have a starter I was told they were excellent, they did look it. For main I had the Sea Bass and the rest of table had the Beef dinner. For deserts the table had the Passionfruit Cheese cake and assorted ice cream, all fantastic. Food was absolutely superb.
