Best Fish shop I have ever been to in Wales, England, Scotland or Ireland. The fish is amazing and it’s always cooked to order. The chips are VERY moreish too! The food is extremely consistent and I’ve never had a bad experience. The Staff are friendly and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. It’s not on the menu, but they made me a corned beef fritter the other day. If you like corned beef, it was absolutely delicious! Especially dipped in curry sauce! Although my Dad would have preferred it with beans and chips! 😉😂😘 I’d highly recommend this place and I just wish it was closer to where I live 🤗🍺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Update….* Since this venue has been taken over, it’s very hit and miss….. I’m gutted. It used to be lovely, every time. Now it’s not so good. Nothing worse than ordering 2 large portion of chips and most of the chips are ‘crap’. Oh well… nothing...

We've used Farnhams since they opened as they're the best in the area, but we've noticed a gradual reduction in the quantity of chips being given culminating in the tiny amount given today (see photo). The total bill was around £11 for two very small portions of chips, one pie and one sausage in batter with a small portion of curry sauce. Everything was very tasty as usual but if you're considering one portion of chips between two, which is what we sometimes do, forget it as there wouldn't be enough. We not complaining about the quality of the food which is excellent, but the quantity, which has become insulting. We will stop using Farnhams now and look elsewhere or stop eating takeaways altogether as money is getting very tight now due to the worsening financial crisis. In out opinion Farnhams will lose business with these small...

Originally a 5 star review: "Excellent fish and chips, and pies, and fishcakes and sausages, and curry sauce, and, and... just all really really nice. Best in the area by a country mile."

Until a change of hands in 2021, it went to 3: "It remains to be seen if the quality of both product and service can be attained and maintained. First visits presented unfortunate experiences with over charging and a standard of food not quite up to scratch. Hopefully things will bed in quickly, and return visits will encourage another edit of this review."

Edit, October 2023... On track by the tracks; this chippy is spot on again! Lush fish, great chips, and an adventurous selection of sauces for the latter. Getting a parking space is a bit of pot luck, but that's just indicative of the popularity. Nice work...
