I came here years ago, and recently heard that it's still good, so, when I was unable to eat at a nearby restaurant, I decided to check Raj Kinara out again. I'm so glad that the other restaurant has stopped serving food!

My wife and I knew that this place was special the moment we walked in. The fountain in the centre and the decor were really beautiful, and a glimpse at the great experience that was to come.

The complementary poppadoms and chutneys to start were very welcome. The tandoori mixed platter was large and tasted so good. The rice sides tasted great as well, but unfortunately we accidentally ordered more than we could eat (post-gym hunger convinced our brains that our stomachs were bigger than they actually are) so we did not manage to eat as much as we wanted. Fortunately, the excellent staff came to the rescue! One of the waiters suggested how many bags and containers we would need to pack up our food, so we were able to take our plentiful leftovers home. I can't wait till tomorrow to finish off what we started this evening!

We're definitely coming back. The price is well worth the quantity and taste of the food and the excellent service you receive.

Edit: I just came back a second time and the poppadoms are definitely not complementary. The food was still good, and I will be...

It’s been over twelve years since I was last at this restaurant. So on a wet miserable Sunday evening my friend and I thought it was high time for a visit. The restaurant has changed since my last visit. It’s still circular, spacious and well lit. Staff are very welcoming, polite, courteous and professional. We take a seat in the sunken area of the restaurant away from other diners.

We order two large Cobra’s, four popadoms, a chicken reshmi, onion bhagee and a keema naan for starters. For the main meal, hot captain pathila. This is tender strips of lamb, prepared using fresh herbs, spices including coriander, mint, garlic and yogurt in a rich tangy sauce. Also chicken shashlick. This was charcoal grilled chicken with roasted onions, green peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and a curry sauce. Pilau and coconut rice were also ordered.

The entire meal was flawless. Adequate time to enjoy the starters before the main meals were served. Impeccable service from start to finish. The meals were tasty, plentiful and thoroughly enjoyed. The ambiance was perfect. It’s no wonder that people travel many miles to eat here. It’s exquisite Bangladeshi food and I won’t be leaving it so long before I return. We tipped generously to show our appreciation. Highly...

While the place had a great reputation and I'm sure that normally it is great, sometimes you have to judge a restaurant on how it runs when they have to deal with things going wrong. Though not exceptionally busy when we went they clearly were understaffed. This lead to exceptionally long waiting times for everything including ordering drinks from two people that never arrived and waiting 20minutes only to be told they didn't have any of that drink in stock. (We then waited another 10minutes for drinks to arrive). The worst thing though was just that I could tell how stressed the entire staff and manager was and therefore couldn't settle. No attempt was made by anyone to acknowledge that things were taking longer and that there might be a wait or any apologies for things taking so longer. I don't expect to have anything free to apologise but just a recognition and apology for things can go a long way to making customers feel better (or better yet, advance warning) Did not enjoy our...

I'm not a fan of Indian cuisine, but my husband is and was told by friends that this was one of the best, and to be honest, it was . You need to book well in advance for a table and the takeaways going out were non stop .It's actually sited on fogarty Caravan Park .It's decorated lovely with views across the bay if by the widow. Service was good, although you could only get wine by the bottle and not the glass, which was a little disappointing 😕. However, the food coming out looked hot and fantastic. There was no rushing you to eat and go . The tikka masala was lovey, as was the butter chicken and mixed grill that others had . Was a great experience , good food, and at a reasonable price too .Will be back with friends again soon .
