Table for 2 booked for 6:45pm, we were a little early and table wasn’t ready on arrival. Went to the bar to grab a drink, all good, seated at the table. Ordered with Sandra within 10 minutes - all going well, starters came out..only one rather than 2, ate that between us, we said we were going waiting on another told it would be following shortly..in the end we had to find another waitress to ask her to cancel the other starter as it had been over 20 minutes. 10 minutes go by after this.another waiter comes to the table to say there was no Mac and cheese and there would be a 20/25 minute delay, we accepted that and waited..45/50 minutes go by and still no mains, managed to find another waitress to tell her we’d now been sat for 1.5 hrs and still hadn’t received our food. She chased it up with the kitchen, food arrived after another 20 minutes. Unfortunately due to the wait, neither of us could finish our food so boxed it up to take home. This waitress was lovely and apologised profusely for the wait/service tonight, blonde hair, didn’t get her name, but she was really nice. Offered us free dessert but neither of us eat dessert and just wanted to head home. We would have preferred the one starter being comped…3 hours later we finally got the bill, the missing starter was still on the bill because the previous waitress hadn’t removed it as she said she would, we eventually paid and left. First time coming to the Telford Hickories, I have to say this was the best food I have eaten in a while, staff were amazing and the service was amazing, I came here with a few friends on the 3rd October, and our server, Freya, was nothing but polite and professional, all the food was soo good, my friend who I came here with ordered a platter and a chicken burger and the Fudge cake, ate it all, takes a lot for him to eat that much, we will be coming back. For the quality of the food, them prices are soo good, I hadn’t eaten all day before coming here, but the portion sizes were massive, the steak was amazing, cooked exactly how my friend wanted it, the vegan/vegetarian fajitas looked amazing (haven’t tried them) but the friend I came here with said they were amazing. I will definitely be trying other stuff on the menu in the future.
The venue isn’t loud at all, everyone in there was moderate, no shouting, a few people celebrating birthdays, I could easily talk to my friends without struggle unlike some places.
They have a balcony area WITH heating, and from what it looked like a park outside for children as well.

We came in yesterday for my birthday meal, we booked as soon as hickories opened, there were concerns there would be teething issues with such a new opening restaurant as we were a large booking. Safe to say we were wrong!
Abbie our waitress was so friendly, patient and helpful with us all, she was very well trained. She easily worked with each of us making sure everything was correctly ordered and checking up on us all throughout our visit 🖤
As it was my birthday I was allowed to go behind the bar to learn to make a cocktail which I was a bit unsure and they were happy for my sister in law to join me which I really appreciated! This was brilliant! Thank you to jay who figured out a good cocktail for us to create and showing us step by step with humour and patience, he is awesome! 🖤 Managers were helpful and friendly I didn’t get his name but I wanted to purchase grape soda to take home however there was none left so he gave me a travel cup of one this was so kind!
The atmosphere was happy, there was live music and happy families
Food was lovely all arriving in a good time considering our large table and it being a busy Friday evening, all nice, hot and tasty 🖤
