KFC Ebbw Vale - Waun y Pound Road — Restaurant in Great Britain

Absolute joke tonight. Went in to get food because my partner and I didn’t feel like cooking. When we got there all seemed normal other than the drivethru being shut so we had to go in - not a problem. We ordered our food and waited by the counter as usual when in walks a scruffy blonde woman who didn’t appear to be a member of staff considering she was wearing a pink tracksuit, shouting greetings at the kitchen staff. The woman then proceeds to take it upon herself to walk through the staff door, behind the counter into the kitchen area without washing her hands, wearing a work uniform or a hair net, allowing her pony tail to flop around getting god knows what in the kitchen area. She hugged one of the male workers in the kitchen and then began laughing, joking and swearing loudly enough with them to be heard in the customer area all while helping herself to the food in the ovens without washing her hands or wearing gloves and the kitchen staff were completely ok with this which suggests it isn’t the first time this has happened. After helping herself to some free food, she remained in the kitchen area chatting with staff, shaking her head around right next to the ovens which on top of everything is not only a huge food code violation but also extremely disgusting to witness as a customer. The two poor ladies on the tills were obviously unhappy with this too by the expression on their faces as this random blonde lady being in the back, distracting staff was also causing orders to get backed up. So much so that one of the ladies on the till had to ask the male kitchen staff 3 times for a food item before he got it for her as he was too busy chatting and swearing with the customer who had walked into the back. Throughout this entire experience myself and my partner were totally disgusted and it wasn’t until we got home that we realised that half of our food wasn’t even in the bag either and was stone cold - likely a result of the guy in the kitchen not paying attention to the job he is being paid to do. Needless to say, I am not happy with the service that I received and will be writing a complaint to the Food Standards Agency (FSA). Absolutely appalling display of food hygiene standards and blatant gross misconduct by several members of staff there. If by some chance this woman is in a member of staff at this restaurant then she and her colleagues should know better, allowing her to go into the back without a uniform or sanitary PPE, distracting staff and using appalling language. Absolute rubbish. I've been using this KFC for several years and only once have they managed to get my order right in the last 5 years. I normally go through the drive through everytine I visit but they just don't listen properly. A couple days ago I indeed a bucket for one and there Kansas barbecue dipp bites. I Sked for a fork for the dipp bites and some barbecue sause for the chicken bucket for one. Never got my side order no fork, no barbecue sauces and no hand wipe. 2 days later I return back through the drive through and ordered the exact same order. Once again I never got my side order and no fork no wipes , no sauces. When I complained I had the drive through window slambed in my face. Today I visited same KFC, Same exact order and asked for fork , sauces and hand wipes. Guess what? They again failed on all fronts. No fork, no side order, no sauces no wipes and I asked twice for these. They just do not seem to acknowledge customers request. It seems that everytine I visit this KFC in Ebbwvale they fail to give me my side order, fork, wipes and barbecue sauces. I've had enough now of spending my money at this KFC to have window slambed in ny face and them not give me my order properly. They are also screaming and shouting about between themselves as you can hear them at the drive through speak system and when you get yo the window to pay for uour order. Its like being in a juvenile playground. Absolutely unprofessional service. I've been using KFC on and off for 30+ years and have found this franchise has really gone down hill not only with its staff but the overall food standards. Nice food. Good service. Could do with the place being a bit warmer here especially if weather cold and miserable outside. Can get noisy in here at times when crowded. LEFT THE ABOVE REVIEW ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. BUT NOW: total rubbish. They do not even give you a fork for the Kansas dipp bites which are covered in sause. They do not even give you a wipe either for your hands. Not really good when you go through the drive through. They ask you if you would like any sauce at the speaker terminal at the drive through and what side order you would like. But when you get your food and park up in they're car park to eat your food you end up having no side order, no sauces no fork and no wipe for your hands even though you asked for them just a minute ago at the terminal and again at the paying/collection window. This KFC in Ebbwvale is ridiculous. Once in a whole year did they ever get my order right. If your going to use the drive through at this KFC, then take your own fork, wipe, sauces as you'll never get them at this drive through even when you have asked twice for them in a 60 second period and forget your side order as they are bound to forget to add it into your order. The KFC staff in Ebbwvale really do need proper training. Seems to me this place is run by school levers. I don't think I've ever been served by anyone at this KFC over 19 years old. EBBW VALE’s KFC the staff are jumped up kids who seem more interested in chatting amongst themselves and giggling rather than getting on with their jobs and getting the orders right. No wonder orders are so messed up … avoid this restaurant go...
