Got food from this KFC today and because of the current COVID situation, my order was sealed into two big bags as it was quite a big order as well as given outside the premises because of the current lockdown rules etc. I didn't check the bag because the bag was sealed with a "sealed and checked" sticker so as a result, I expected for my order to have been checked and correct. It wasn't until I went home that I found out they missed an entire Hot Wings bucket as I had ordered two. Driving back to get the missing Hot Wings bucket, I was barely greeted well once I went in to say to them what they missed from my order. The woman simply said she recognised me and that was that. Without apologising, they told me to wait outside for my missing Hot Wings bucket. After being given my missing Hot Wings bucket outside, I was quite disappointed and frustrated to say, at the very least.
First of all, the staff should have the decency to greet customers, no matter what the situation is like. You weren't shortstaffed. I was left standing in front of the counter, waiting for someone to come speak to me as a few staff gave me a look and then looked away. Second of all, and this is the most important one of all - have the decency to APOLOGISE for getting the order wrong. Understand that I drove all the way back home and all the way back here because of this missing order which was at the fault of the staff. This costs petrol, as well as my time. Additionally, by the time I got back home, my food was cold and my family had to start eating without me because of this.
Everybody makes mistakes but it's when there's a lack of manners and not apologising for their wrong, that it becomes an issue. I wasn't even looking for a nice gesture like being offered a freebie (although it would've been nice, considering I drove all the way back home and then back to KFC because of this - that itself, costs money that I shouldn't be needing to spend. Hell, I'd used to be offered a free bottle of Pepsi or something for just a long wait) for their mistake. The basic expectation was just a genuine apology and I didn't even get that. I just got a couple of looks, got told to wait outside and then be given my missing bucket of hot wings.
I'm very disappointed and frustrated with this situation. The KFC staff from this premises should know better...

So the moral of the story is that as a couple we went in for a bargain bucket and ordered two sides with that as standard it doesn't come with sides, which was ok. Though we were told that the sides that we wanted had run out. I completely understand that we went in a little later but it doesn't take much to insure that the most popular side doesn't run out a vast time before the service stops for the day. Through this we then were asked if we wanted another side which we declined.
We asked for a ten piece bucket she then came out and said they only have nine pieces of chicken ready right now "Is it ok if I throw in a mini" she asked. At this point it was becoming a joke so we just stood their in confusion and nodded out heads. Time went on and I hear her shouting to the other boys "Can I have another 2 minis"
In other words what started off to be 9 bits turned to 7 and 3 minis. It turns out she had dropped a couple of them on the floor so had to bin them.
We left with a 7 piece bucket for the price of 10 and 3 mini fillets with no sides.
My message to the management is. Get some more staff on shift and also more preparation. I doubt I'll be back to this branch. Was totally unacceptable.
But if you are a customer avoid this place getting later on in the day. It's ran without a clue and you will probably be let down the...
Read moreMust have been a bad day at KFC Kilwinning.... Food wise, the chicken stuff was fine, just the usual KFC fayre which the kids enjoyed. For the vegetarians amongst us the large green salad was two small (very small) green salads - salad being defined as lettuce and some sweetcorn nibblets...no tomato, carrot, onion, beets, or any other veg that you would care to mention....and four or five forksworths at most in total (I'm ready for my meal now...oh that was it....)..."No, we don't do tomato..". Not really what was shown on the order board... Service - four or five items missed off our order which we had to go back and ask for. Some talk about not getting hash browns with a salad (even though it was available to order on the board...)....but "we'll sort something out....". Premises - small seating area, we were lucky to get sat down as a family (five of us). Floor in the gents toilets was awash with water meaning break a leg level of slippiness and stank of piss, horrible. Apart from that was great...sorry guys, just telling it...
