During our recent visit to Malabari in Northampton, we had the pleasure of tasting a variety of dishes that showcased the richness of South Indian cuisine.
Prawn Thava Roast -This dish was a standout with its perfectly cooked prawns, bursting with flavors and spices. The roast had the right balance of heat and aroma, making it a delight for seafood lovers. Beef Fry-The beef was tender and well-seasoned, with a perfect mix of spices that gave it an authentic taste. It was cooked to perfection, with a slight crisp on the outside while remaining juicy inside. Biriyani-The biriyani was aromatic and flavorful, with each grain of rice perfectly cooked and infused with spices. It was a hearty dish that left a lasting impression. Ghee Rice-The ghee rice was simple yet delicious, with the rich taste of ghee enhancing the overall flavor of the dish. It paired well with the other dishes and was a comfort food at its best.
Overall Experience
Malabari is undoubtedly one of the best places in Northampton for authentic South Indian cuisine. The flavors were rich and true to tradition, and every dish we tried was delicious and very tasty. The restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the taste of Kerala right here in...
Read moreThis marks my fourth visit to this restaurant, and with each occasion, I have anticipated some improvement from the previous experience; however, I have not observed any enhancements.
The ambiance is spacious and pleasant. The menu is quite limited, with many items frequently unavailable. The filter coffee ordered was disappointing, resembling cold coffee rather than a freshly brewed option. While each table is equipped with a bottle of water, no glasses are provided. In the United Kingdom, one would expect at least tap water to be offered in any reputable hotel; unfortunately, this was not the case here from the outset. Additionally, when ordering biryani, it has been necessary to request raita and pickle each time during my last four visits. The lime juice served was also unsatisfactory. -parking facility avialable, compared to other places👍 -customer service was good.
I sincerely hope that they will enhance both their quality and customer service approach. (Note: This is my fourth visit since their establishment, and there has been no noticeable...

The combination of flavors was just perfect, and I couldn't get enough of it. The chicken biriyani was also too yummy—rich in spices and so satisfying. And I can't forget the shawarma; it was really good as well! Each dish was a delight, and the atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall experience. The best part was the excellent customer service; the staff was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better.
