A very well located cafe with some fantastic driving roads around. The cafe has, quite sensibly, chosen a limited menu of bacon/sausage sandwiches, all day breakfast, chicken burger, beef burger etc. Simple food. Unfortunately for us, we felt the place overpriced and of less than ideal quality for the price. We are not snobs. We like a good bacon sandwich as much as the next person, but what we do not like is to feel like the quality and price are not in harmony with each other. We had a buttermilk chicken burger, which had no flavour and at £7.95 we felt a little on the extortionate side when it didn't come with chips. They were £2.50 per greasy portion which left a funny taste in the mouth. We also ordered an all day breakfast which does come with a tea or coffee. The coffee was lovely. The breakfast less so. When paying £9.95 I would expect the beans to at least be hot, not cold. The value for what you got was poor at best. We didn't want a big portion but felt that £5 would have been a better cost for what we received. The service was very slow as another reviewer has also mentioned. Again not helping the experience. That said, it is a new establishment and you can hope that it will only get better as they learn to cater on a larger scale that list cooking your family a nice breakfast. The facilities are good and there is plenty of room to park up and walk around. It is nice to have somewhere with a mix of cars and bikes and hopefully over time more interesting vehicles will make their way down. We will return if there is a decent event on and probably just have a drink. We are glad we went but won't be back in a hurry, at least...
Read moreIt's clean and very welcoming to car and bike enthusiasts. It's got loads of parking and is on the outskirts of town, so causes minimal disruption to the natives. If it gets busy the wait for food and drink is too long. When the egg run finished there they had food concessions outside in addition to the cafe (4 I seem to recall), my friends joined a queue and I went home to cook something because I am not very patient. It took almost an hour before my friends were served. It's a difficult trade off for the owners, it would be impractical to have a massive kitchen with loads of staff all year just to cater for a few big events. I have hearsay evidence that it's a great place to meet up for a brew and a bacon butty before setting off on a ride. After the egg run they had a band in the car park and had made a big effort to make sure that there was lots of available food and drink for the attendees and I appreciate that when the number is large and you have no idea if it will be 400, 1000 or 2000 who turn up or how many will want food and drink it must be difficult which is why I gave 4 stars. I am sure that on a 'normal' day it's a great...

Cost was slightly high for a breakfast and could do with more direction from staff given set up. E.g. welcome, order here and find an table next door. That said they where friendly and we where there at opening.
Over all great if your interested in cars and bikes, great for a quick stop over on the way to the coast. Tea and coffee nice.
Couldn't see where to respond to owners comment.
I just wanted to say I will visit again, I did say only 'slightly high' on cost. Glad you use local suppliers but with the food there was nothing stand out, it was nice but seemed a pretty basic breakfast. All in all my reviews was meant as a positive and as it's new business I think there are some operational things to iron out...
