This Premier Inn has a large parking lot, shared with the Toby Carvery which is situated in the same compound (your vehicle's details will be taken at the reception and parking fees are not to be paid). It is located opposite the James Cook Hospital and I feel the locality is quiet, though it is close to a main road.
The reception adjoins a room where breakfast is served in the morning. There are a few couches next to reception where you can wait at if required. The staff at reception is friendly and professional. They helped me with all the questions I had about availability of food and also places I could eat at, or order in from.
There is one lift in the premises and stairs, the entrance to which, requires a keycard to enter, providing some extra security.
The room and toilet is spacious and clean. There is a television in the room and a table, a chair and a single seater sofa (in the double room that I stayed in). A kettle, some tea bags and coffee satchets are provided.
There is room heating which works well, which can be controlled with a thermostat. In summer if it is hot, I guess you would have to open the wind that opens partially (limited by a mechanism for safety).
The house keeping staff is friendly!
Breakfast is adequate, nothing special, and has to be paid for separately.
Free WiFi and 'paid for' WiFi is available, and I did not experience any problems with connectivity.
I would stay here again...
Read moreI am a wheelchair user, upon arrival I found I was able to park right away in the disabled parking area, when I got out of my vehicle and into reception area the staff were so welcoming, looked like staff where on a changeover, they all greeted me and the staff could not have done any more for me during my stay, the room was very clean, the staff took a chair out for me, as it was not so easy to maneuver my wheelchair around the room, I managed though and just took time maneuvering, plug socket next to bed rather low but reachable from being on the bed, just a single socket so I couldn't use it for more items together, ie CPAP machine, electric wheelchair charger and phone charger, but it's made me realise to always pack a 4 way extension lead within my luggage for further travelling.. I WILL return to this Premier Inn for sure, as like I said so very accommodating to me nothing was too much for them, and overall a very pleasurable stay, I stayed 3 nights and ALL staff such a pleasure, there are nearer places to stay for the venue I needed to be at during the day's, but I'd rather return and stay here and know I'm well looked after than go to another place and struggle, besides the 15/20 min drive was okay to do and was easy so yeah this Premier Inn superb and I will be returning in February and hopefully I can get multiple rooms for many of the others to stay as well.. Thank you to you ALL.....
Read moreWhen I arrived I was spoke to sharply Who could clearly see myself and my partners were in some state of distress, we are disabled and my other 2 guests were mentally disabled, I understood that burrows I want it with my key and bed and so did my colleagues upon entering the rooms with discovered that the electrics in the Room where dangerous reported it and some normal receptionist came up with a Paris's and some black tape this is totally unacceptable if I didn't my grandkids there we all could have been electrocuted This is totally unacceptable.. And on the morning upon leaving everybody was not wearing masks including the staff, so the lockdown was only a one nighter?? The other Room was also dangerously electrically wired up with tape this is a fire hazard and a breach of health and safety regulations I reported it upon leaving and was told that they will look into it.. We should not have experienced, the oratory lecture on COVID 19 , I have COPD And had recently been discharged from a Birmingham hospital 🏥 with heart ❤ problems..I am diabetic also and was tired 😫.
