Salvatore's Ristorante Italiano — Restaurant in Great Britain

Our first visit to Salvatore's and it is a lovely restaurant with a diverse uncomplicated menu. The food was absolutely delicious from the starters to the mains. The pizzas are so good (proper pizzas) and the pasta dishes are delicious. It is not cheap but it is very good, set in a lovely village location. When we were there they were two staff short and the restaurant was quite busy, so the wait between starter and main course was a bit longer than I would have liked, but it was worth the wait. Brilliant restaurant, the food is amazing with large portion sizes which is rare these days, alone with very reasonably priced. You can tell everything is freshly made. The service was great, the waitress we had was polite and chatty, very homely atmosphere. Was very busy which is always a good sign when it comes to restaurants. We've ordered takeaway multiple times and the food was great so we had to go and eat in, even better! The banoffee pie is the best pudding you can ask for! Overall a great place to eat and we'll definitely be returning regularly. 100% 5 stars from us and can't wait for them to open...

Usually I'd give this place 5 stars but not the greatest experience tonight. Order took an hour and 45 minutes to arrive, phoned up after over an hour since ordering and they said it should be with us in 10-15 mins, still took another 30 minutes to arrive. Pizzas and garlic bread were great, really tasty and flavourful but the bruschetta wasn't even toasted and bread was soggy so that was disappointing.
